quest for knowledge, want to participate on this list, and am trying to 
exercise my short term memory (and is it short), I while answer your 
question.

Okay, someone (Kun-chan) said that those attending KATSUCON should buy 
tickets for those in Australia (hah, fat chance), she mentioned Aussies.
 Someone else asked if it was okay to use the term Aussies.
 An Aussie (I assume) said it's okay and listed so Aussie slang. The 
Americans are termed as Yanks.
 Someone else said that those down in the south might not like to be 
called Yanks. Something about rathering being called a Septic (tank?)
 Another commented that for some the civil war is still going on.
 From there it turned into what else can it be called or so it seems.
 
 Wow, the answer is actually longer than my justification for doing it!
 
Amazing how this ML wanders around from subject to subject, almost as much
as my own mind does.
