I know one situation where something 'lemoney' as you call it will HAVE to 
happen. What if they get married? Convincing enough?

Well, yes... *when* they get married. ;> Given how long it took Fujishima 
to get Belldandy to even say "I love you," I suspect this is another 
event that would take something awfully convincing to get me to believe 
it... Something along the lines of the events in OAV 5. :)

I'd still expect them to have to pick up a manual of some sort when the 
time comes. ^_^
