   I agree, I just skimmed through it.  It's just plagerism.

I wouldn't go that far, at least not without getting an explaination
from the author; he does have an indirect unspecific acknowledgement
in his preface, and the title also spells out what he's doing.

And while it's clearly straight from the original Winter, it feels
different, and has a somewhat different ending.

   BTW: This isn't the first time I've seen this on the ML either.  I think 
   it's the second time since October.  Who do they think their fooling?

Shades of Florence King's article "Molly Ivans (sp?), Plagerist" (the
Texan, I believe), given that the author of the original Seasons is on
the list; King was assigned to review Ivans' latest book, and found it
plagerized one of hers....
