You realize, John, than not only did you put out another Sailor Moon
fanfic, of which there are too many, but you sent that fanfic to me
twice (by addressing it to the list, AND to me), during which time the
mailer on Eskimo was being updated, so I received THREE copies of the
addressed-to-me one, and two from the list.
Five copies of a Sailor Moon fanfic. Are you trying to make me lose what
mind I have left? ;P
Seriously, though, for the Sailor Moon fanfic writers out there - John's
done something interesting, focusing on the person, not the Sailor. (At
least for Mercury, the only one I've gotten around to reading. Why am I
considering reading the others? I dunno, other than the fact that I'll
probably be pestered to the end of time by John, otherwise...) Maybe an
idea which could be used a bit more often...not in the same way, but a
lot of the SM fanfics I've seen around seem to be, just from noticing the
beginnings and all, a lot of Sailors-fight-the-monsters fanfics.
Basically, the episodes with new monsters. The same syndrome a lot of
Ranma fanfiction suffers from.
New-badguy-shows-up-and-gets-clobbered-by-Ranma. Granted, there are
plenty of examples of fanfiction that are more creative than these
topics, but still, I'm sure everyone on the list can think of several
fanfics that fall into these categories that I mentioned.
