Obviously you subscribed after the first couple of months, where days of
300+ messages were almost common.  If I recall correctly there was one
point where a spam/flame war got out of hand and we had nearly 700
messages in a little under two days.

list have a SOCIAL LIFE? <grin>  John Biles excluded, I KNOW John 
doesn't. ^_-).
