I have no idea. I guess new views on characters, instead
of just seeing the streotype of somebody over and over.

;) Good point. Always nice.

What qualities make a bad fanfic?
Something I really hate is when the author tries to
use ALL of the charcaters from a series, because then you
don't get to see much of one person and it gets to general.
Or when all the characters do is et into meaningless little
fights every two seconds.
True.

mechanics = continuity, writing style, etc.
Using a spellcheck really helps. And as for writting style,
		^^^^^^^^^^
Reading this letter brings to mind the saying: 'Practice what you preach.'

type of story = crossover, continuation, lemon, etc.
Never ever do a story where you yourself is the
main character. It's just to easy to give yourself all
sorts of powers and make it really, really annoying. I stopped
reading Twister after the first few pages because he
was so egotistical.

*shrug* It was my first time and wanted to TRY something different(or
NEW. Read above). Sorry if making my char powerful offended you. Besides,
some people LIKE doing this AND reading it. Probably because people with
imagination like to imagine themselves in the char's place. :P (UF is a VERY
good example of such work).

genre = Ranma, AMG, BGC, etc.
It's really hard to use a often used genre like
Ranma 1/2, because it's hard to find somehting to write
that hasn't all ready been used.

C'est la vie.

Twister.
