Same here.  My series has no direction.  Now I have a bunch of ideas to put
in the story, that it might take forever to hit the ending.  That's what I
love about freeform, you get to do whatever you want.

That's the strange thing about fanfiction-  we're writing a story based on
precedents; locations, characters and histories that someone might think
are restrictive, but really aren't. I've started an original story with my own precedents and IMHO it's as much fun to write about BGC (my chosen era) as it is an original story. I guess that's because working with a previously created
"world" allows an author to focus on the story instead of the logistical details
involved in creating your own world and making it interesting and believable.

But OTOH, it is kinda fun to make the sky in your world any colour you
want and know that no-one can dispute your choice ;)
