Is this the Ulysses in the 31st century with (for the main part) 4 main
characters and the ship (rest of the crew 'asleep' ) wandering around a
distorted universe because they interfered with a sacrificee ?

Yep, that's the one.

Children of the Sun, see your time has just begun -
Searching for your ways through adventure every day...
Children of the Sun, someday soon you're gonna find
That your destiny holds the secret, holds the key.

Kergma ponders for a time in a distant shadow - aha!

'Children of the Sun' or something - show about a spanish orphan, an Inca
princess, another orphan ( the shows gadget master ) being the last member
of his race (?), a spanish entrepeneur with 2 (?) weird sidekicks and
assorted south american kingdoms and 'lost technology of the incas' (
always wanted that huge golden bird )
All of this set in the 1500s when Spain was starting to 'explore' South
America.

Give Kergma a cigar. Yep, "The Cities Of Gold". They never did finish
it properly.

Indeed, I second that. Next, we'll be talking "Goldorak" and
"Candy, Candy" 8-)

Indeed, Ulysse, Telemaque, Themis (blue-skinned 10yrs old alien girl)
and Nono the little red robot. It used to be shown about 10 yrs ago
on French TV (3rd channel) as daily episodes of 5 minutes. All episodes
I've seen were based on some famous Greek myth or another, not
necessarily part of the Odyssey itself, though.

5 minutes? per day? Btw - what was the ships name?

Yes. It was used as a filler between a stupid game show and the news.
That way, an episode was spread during the week, and they showed the
complete episode on Saturday.

The ship's name was the Odysseus (French) or Odyssey (English).

some stories were swiped from other legends (non-greek) as well - quite a
nice show ;)

Neo - I'd like to borrow those tapes some time ;)

Well, at least you're on the right continent... what city (reply via
private e-mail - this side of the conversation no longer belongs on the
ML)

can we pick out some 1930's cartoon to talk about to make us seem even
older? ;)

Mmm... can't think of any off hand, but how about original 1963 Astroboys
(you know, the B&W ones) ^_^

Actually, Ithink there were two names, one for the ship
and the other for its central computer (who spoke in a
sweet female voice).

Shyrka

Oh, so you have your Dorothee as well?

Argh! Flashback, flashback! The horrible show intros.
