Sci-Fi/Fantasy fans would stick to Lodoss Wars or some random mecha

This isn't just a Ranma Fanfic ML--it's an Anything Goes Anime Fanfic ML.
Well he did say that it was BASICALLY (I'm not yelling just making a point)
a Ranma ML. Since the majority of the FanFic's have been based on Ranma in
one way or another. Even though it is an Anything Goes Anime FanFic ML.
Well, I'm certainly hoping that DP works are acceptable here... or else
I'll have to find someplace different to post mine when it gets done. ;>
*If* it gets done. <Sigh>
As to the original Subj: -- I've read and enjoyed writers across the
SF/Fantasy spectrum... recently been reading a lot of H. Beam Piper and
James Schmitz, as well as Terry Pratchett. The Minneapolis Mafia are a
favorite of mine -- Emma Bull, Steven Brust, Will Shetterly, Pamela Dean,
Patricia Wrede. The big three, of course: Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke.
Douglas Adams to some degree, though less now than I used to. Edgar Rice
Burroughs and E.E. "Doc" Smith are good for the swashbuckling sense of
adventure, if you can live with the pulp prose. David Brin and C.J.
Cherryh write wonderful "mind-expanding" books, if you like doing a lot
of thinking... Tolkein and Conan Doyle, of course... Lois McMaster
Bujold... anyone want to read a page or two more? <g>
Talking about Emma Bull and Steven Brust brings something else to mind --
what kind of role does music play in your writing? I really enjoy the
groups these two have been in, Cats Laughing and the Flash Girls, and
they've provided a lot of inspiration for my writing. Some instrumental
works do that as well; I start writing something and I can feel the
accompanying song in my head.
