A day in the life of the fanfic author...

Up in the morning, about a quarter to eight,
The shuttle's in fifteen minutes, I'm going to be late.
Pants, shirt, shoes, and coat,
Twenty minutes later, I missed the boat.

Half the class is over, as I walked in,
And the teacher stares at me like it's a mortal sin.
Sit down, take notes, try to stay awake,
If college life is "fun", this takes the cake.

Four classes later, I've run out of steam,
but rest and sleep are yet only a dream.
Go to work!  Pay the rent!  I have too many bills.
If this keeps up much longer, I'll be on the pills.

Late that night, the last of the homework squirreled away,
At last, I patter at my fanfic, and pray
Maybe tomorrow, or next week, I'll finish this part,
If sleep deprivation doesn't get me, it'll be my heart!

Oh, gee, on my, I'm stuck, I'm stuck,
I wish I could write, it's just my luck,
I've writers block this dreary night,
no story here, nothing in sight.
 
Stared at the screen till my eyes turned blue,
my head, it feels, is filled with glue,
I've no ideas, no lines to type,
And what I get out sounds like tripe!
 
Oh, Help! Oh, Help!  The end is near,
This won't write its self that I fear,
This started so well and it was fun,
But drat and darn here comes the sun.
 
I must retire, I must quit,
for I think my head is about to split,
Too much soda, too many chips,
still I can't write.  This is the pits.

Somebody shoot both of us, and put us out of your misery.  ;)

It's late at night, and I'm on the "Net.
Check the ML's--can't sleep yet.
Ranma, Fanfic--can't handle more.
Count the new posts--TWO HUNDRED FOUR?!

Aagh! Oh, no!  This'll take all night!
I'll still be here when it gets light!
Then it's Sailor Moon, and off to work
And my boss--the blasted jerk!

It's afternoon, and I'm 'bout dead.
Gulp some food--time for bed.
I dream of writing, as I snore.
Of people screaming, "We want *MORE*!"

I wake up late, with ideas fresh
That all leave me as I dress.
But as I sit, a new one swells.
I'm ready to write--but, first, MLs.
