I gonna preface by saying that all this is speculation, as whatever
happens in the story is of course left up to the author. :) I'm just
arguing for/against the existence of certain possibilities that *could*
happen within the framework of the story.

Hmm... unlikely since only Genma was dumb... er... courageous enough to

Ranma vs. Akane - Obviously their whole relationship is going to be
different, but I think that Akane is still going to be *very* ticked when
she finds out what Ranma and Soun cooked up.
Hmmm... perhaps, perhaps not. The promis Ranma made to Sound was open ended,
perhaps a reflection of his more mature attitude. ^_- But so far, I
don't see how Akane could be upset with Ranma. He isn't insulting, he's
more mature, he's caring... cosiderate. Almost the kind of person some
people would like to go after. The one possiblity is this: the fiance's
that Genma had attracted to Ranma.
Well, let's say Akane dates Ranma, falls in love with him and agrees to
marry him. Then she finds out that Ranma had plotted the whole thing out
with her father, starting with the defeat of Kuno. I dunno, while it's
not insulting, I don't think she'd like the plotting that took place
behind her back. No doubt she'd forgive them, but I figure there'd be a
nice mallet pounding/angst chapter in there somewhere before she forgives
Ranma.
Genma's not going to engage Ranma to anyone else, after he broke off the
engagement with the Tendo's, because the reason he claimed was that Ranma
was unfit to marry off. I don't see how there could be other fiance's.
UNLESS, Genma made some silly promise like, "IF my son grows up to be a
man among men, THEN I'll engage him to your daughter." If that had
happened, it could lead back into the multiple fiance scenerio, which
would be rather ironic.
Ryouga - Can't see him as a key character is this fanfic, as he never had
a dual with Ranma in middle school. Isn't cursed and never even fought
Ranma in fact. *BUT* he could be in love with Ranko, which would make
things *very* interesting, especially if Ranma takes a dislike to him.
(Who ever likes the guys who hit on your sister?)
Hate to say it, but *wrong*. He and Ryouga should have still had a duel.
The wish asked for no-curse and it only curtailed the trip to the ponds,
hence life happenings before that trip should still be the same. But
this is left to the author. ^_- So he should still know Ryouga, Ryouga
should still know him. But I believe the grudge should be MUCH less
intense without the curse to burden them with it. ^_^
Nope, I disagree. Remember, in this universe, all the events past the
point of refusing to go a trip at age six is now changed and some events
before that are even changed. If Ranma was *not* a marital artist in
junior high, where he met Ryouga, he wouldn't have defeated him in
lunchtime battles over food. Thus, a grudge would've never been
established, thus no reason for a duel. However, no doubt the author
could dream up some other reason for a grudge between Ranma & Ryouga.
Maybe the "other" Ranma stepped on Ryouga's umbrella and broke it or
something. But I still think the Ranko angle would be pretty cute.
Ukyou - Can't see her in here either, but it's possible that she could be
introduced into the storyline now, I have no clue how.
*ahem* and why wouldn't she be in it? Their father's were old friends.
Nope, they met, because Genma would send Ranma to steal okonmiyaki from
the Kunijo yatti. Plus, this occurred on they training journey that
Ranma and Genma never went on in this universe.
When she and Ranma first met was when they were but children... very youg
children. (young). As far as anyone knows, she could still arrive at the
school or already be there. ^_^ (since I think the story takes place at
the same time as when he made the wish, but life has progressed without
the curse, so.... dominoes...) So Ukyou would most definitely be in
Nerima, most likely, Ucchan's will exist. Who knows... Ranma might even
accidently take Akane to Ucchan's and act like he knew her in old times. ^_^
I'll grant that Uc-chan's could exist and that it's possible Ukyou could
have a crush on Ranma, but the pre-conditions would have to be
different. (See above reasoning on the yatti thing.)
Are we working from the same story? It just occurred to me that we could
be working from different versions. I''m working from the one that was
posted sometime last week.
Something else just occurred. What if the story were to follow the path
of Ranma and Nabiki? What if it were to go through the series, but from
the new perspective sorta like the way that R&N does? That would be
interesting.
