Hi ho there, friends and neighbors.

Here is my (supposedly) finished version of part one of my story.  Sorry
about any confusion that I may have inadvertently caused with my last
submission to the ML.  I had accidently sent the "full" version of my story
(all of part one, and what I had at the time for part two).  I won't make
the same mistake again (I hope...)

C&C on this one is appreciated.  I know I'm not great at spotting errors, so
I'm sure there are still some hanging around in part 1.  Expansion ideas for
existing sections are also welcomed.  Thank you for reading my story.  I
*truly* appreciate it.  ^_^
