We had an overwhelming response to the First Annual Manga and Movie
Original Story Competition...Thousands of entries and as a result of this
success, the competition, now only in its second year, is already going
international
YOU - me, you talking to me - are invited to submit your own original manga
story to the The Second Annual Manga & Movie Original Story Competition.
There are several CASH PRIZES to be won and the winners' work will be
published by Kodansha - Japan's largest and leading manga publisher. There
are also plans to publish the works in English language mangas.
Most importantly, three of the award-winning stories will be adapted into
screenplays by award winning Hollywood screenwriters to be made into
movies. These scripts will then be made into films directed by award
winning Hollywood directors.
The criteria used for judging the winning entries include A. Execution, B.
Originality and C. Entertainment Value. Winners will be selected if the
screenplay meets our quality standards. Well-written entries selected by
the International Jury Committee will be awarded prize money - over $60,000
in awards.

Entry Guidelines/Other Information
1) There are no restrictions as to the theme. All genres are permissable.
2) Entries are restricted to original non-produced, non-optioned works.
3) Anyone may enter. No age, sex, profession, or nationality restrictions.
4) The non-refundable registration fee is $25 US per script.
5) We would like for you to send your best project but if you would like to
submit more than one, please provide an entry fee for each entry
separately.
6) Entry deadline - August 25, 1996. Winners will be announced in mid April
1997.
7) Please mail entries/entry fees to:
