Could it be that Akane while she does how some feelings for Ranma, is 
either unsure of those feelings, or afraid to act on them, because thus 
she might be encouraging Ranma, who *might* have the Ryouga "jumping wolf" 
syndrome.  (We know Ranma's not a wolf, but how can Akane know that?  He 
has more fiance's than thumbs.)


Look at the whole Tofu epsiode in GN 1. Akane couldn't say she loved 
Dr. Tofu,even though she was in love with him. I think Akane has a problem 
showing her tender emotion's, and this could be linked with her mother's 
death. IMHO it will take a major event to get her to admit that she really 
truely love's Ranma(Gee, That's what's happening in the Manga right now...^_-)
. It's sad because she could lose him if she doesn't admit that she love's Ranma
(Takahashi wouldn't do that, but it could happen...fanfic maybe...)
