The amount of C&C from the last couple of chapters was
surprising. Thanks, everybody!
About the length; well, if I wrote them any longer, I'd have
problems editing the chapters with PINE. And if I waited to string
sections together, you guys would have to wait, too. I can usually write
one chapter during the school week, and another over the weekend, but
that's my limit.
As for characters (i.e. Ryoga and Kuno) acting oddly, keep in
mind that "reality" is starting to break down. You readers already know
that Ryoga's memories don't mesh with the "classic" Ranmaverse anymore.
Kuno seems to be having the same problems...
For the record, Ryoga did beat Spring with a "lucky" hit (aren't
all Shi-Shi-Hokodan attacks unlucky by definition?). Neither Spring nor
chapter-eleven-plus Ryoga have seen a Shi-Shi-Hokodan before, though.
Spring is good, but she's not as powerful as people expect her to be.
There's a reason for this; you'll see it later.
Re: Amazon Laws. Spring is so desperate at this point that she's
not thinking straight. She did fail to recognize her own father, after
all, and she turned her mother into a cat to take a shot at Ryoga.
Re: Konatsu waiting at Ucchan's. Sorry, you're all wrong. It was
fun reading your speculations, though.
On the chronologically displaced kids thing: Last year, around
the beginning of December, people on the net were speculating about what
Ranma's kids would be like. This story was born out of that thread. If
I remember right, D&I #1 hit the net before December's End, but the
identities of Spring, Tachi, etc. were not explicitly stated until D&I #4
or so, which I wrote in January.
I want to finish this story so much I can taste it. I know what
happens next. I know what happens after that. If only my professors
would cut back on the homework...
