This was going to be a part of Rising Star for near the end, but a friend 
suggested it as an explaination of how Allegra got scarred.  I had to 
agree.  The antagonist's name has been removed to protect her identity...

	Allegra felt her leg throb as she put her weight on it.  The 
other girl smirked in amusement.

	"You're still standing?  Marvelous!  Now I can finish you off,
correctly,"  A blood red ki blade formed around her left hand.

	"I-I can't... let you leave... with that... scroll," Allegra's chest 
burned with the exertion of speaking.  With a desperate cry, she leapt at 
the thief who stood unmoving.

	"Sayonara, Allegra!  CUTTING EDGE!"  the thief sliced upward with her 
ki blade.

	Allegra saw the attack and did the only thing she could.

	"TECH SHIELD!"  Allegra raised her left arm as the panels of her 
forearm formed the circular shield.  They met with a blast of light. 

	Allegra crashed to the ground.  The thief was a statue, with her arm 
still raised in the end position.  Allegra pushed herself up to her knees 
ands looked down.  A red vertical line streched from her left thigh, up 
her sheild, and through her face plate.  She watched with fatigued 
distance the crack grow and cause other cracks to spider-web out from the 
main cut.  Her thigh armor, left gauntlet and sheild, and face plate 
exloded outward with the sound of shattering glass. Allegra flew back 
and screamed as her mind plunged into oblivion...  Her body fell to the 
ground like a discarded rag doll.

	"Foolish girl..."  Jody smirked as she wiped away a trickle of blood 
that flowed from her forehead.

	Allegra or the others about her destiny.
