Ack. This is bogus :( really kills your day. I don't
know if you'd want *more* advise, but this has worked for me
(for some 5+ years I've been on the net, noone has hacked
into my accounts yet):

	* Use a mixed lowercase/uppercase/numeric password,
and LEARN TO SPEED TYPE IT! It's the best
	  protection against over-the-shoulder observers.

	* Learn and use the permissions the systems offer,
it can help you save stuff from your own mistakes
even. Or use macros, like changing rm (or delete)
for a program that'll move things to a hidden
subdir instead of destroy the info.

	* If your account shell has an autologout feature,
USE IT. It can save your account in case of
terminal lockup; and if your online editor has a
save-in-case-of-death feature (like unix vi) then
you won't loose work when your account
	  automatically logs out.

	* If your terminal is a PC and it locks up without
you being able to logout, turn it off. That way
the connection will be broken. For more security,
wait the amount of time it takes for your shell's
	  autologout timeout to kick in.

Well, that's all I can add. Many more can be derived
from experience. Good luck, I hope you find the sick
bastard. If you need someone to break his knees just let me
know, I'll make it look like an accident. ("You mean, he
accidentally took a baseball bat with spikes on it and
accidentally hit himself on the legs with it some...
*rustle*rustle* 27 times?" "Yes officer, that's what I saw.").
