Well, here it is, a really rough draft...
Magical Interludes: December's End

The story so far:
Magic has come into the world based on scientific principles. Minor
and low-level abilities appeared first world-wide, causing unrest in
major metropolitan areas as people, groups, corporations, and
governments sought to take advantage of the new power base. The
unlocking of major talents seemed to be linked to the appearance of
'Vortices', people who were at the center of energy/magic storms. A
'vortex' gained access to power and insights of lives that they might
have led. The fifth vortex, Ranma Saotome, differed in that he
managed to draw three 'daughters' into his reality. The three sixteen
year-olds (Ayuki, Keiko, and Midori born to Shampoo, Nabiki, and
Ukyou respectively) came under the care of Nodoka Saotome.
Kodachi Kuno is about to get a visit from the police for stalking the
Tendo Dojo. Its almost New Year's, and its time for a festival...
It is December 30th of Ranma and Akane's sophomore year...

Chapter 8: The Festival - Part I
Tatewaki Kuno rushes to his home, excited and sure that tonight
would be the night that he would at last succeed in his pursuit; it
was true that he had failed to defeat Ranma Saotome that afternoon,
but the year was not over yet and destiny was on his side. He would
defeat him tonight at the festival (Nabiki had assured him they
would be there, for a small fee) and Akane Tendo would return her
affections to their rightful place. To himself. In addition, Saotome's
three cousins would learn of his villainy and would also realize their
affections for him, as well as the pig-tailed girl. He would not,
could not, force them to make such a horrible choice among
themselves for his affections. He would allow himself to be
magnanimous and date them all.
He heads for his room to dress in his finest outfit; nothing less
would be worthy of the upcoming public humiliation of his rival. He
opens the door to his room and faints. The posters for which he had
worked so hard (and paid so much) lay in shreds on the floor.
When he woke he could hear noises coming from his sister's
bedroom. She had been ill this morning and refused to go to school,
but for her to commit this sacrilege against her brother! He throws
open the door, enters her room, and faints again.
Kodachi heard a thunk, but she didn't care. When her Ranma had
told her that he had never loved her, she knew that the evil power
that Akane Tendo held over him was too great to combat; that he
had fallen too deeply under her influence for even coherent thought
to form. Her tears had brought no relief from the horror. Upon
reaching her room last night, she had torn off her leotard and lain
naked on her life-sized picture of Ranma, caressing herself with the
remaining photos of their kiss, hoping for some form of inspiration.
She had lain there upon waking that morning, refusing her brother's
entreaties to go to school, unable to plan the salvation of her lover.
She realized that the only way to bring him to his senses was to
force him to make passionate love to her (she consigned herself to
the necessary departure from the maidenly existence), but was at a
loss at how to separate him from the women around him, who would
fight to keep him with Akane Tendo.
She realized that first she had to purge the house of all evil; she got
up and destroyed all pictures and references to any woman around
her beloved with her ribbon, especially Akane Tendo and the pig-
tailed girl (her brother's room was filled with them). She had then
returned, naked, to her room and resumed her place on her beloved's
picture to plan the rest of her rescue mission. Tears fell from her
eyes as she cried aloud her frustration of unenlightenment.
A arm fell across her breasts. A man's arm. She rejoiced at the
thought of her Ranma reaching out for her so quickly but screamed
for appearance's sake. She jumped up to her feet with glee and was
crestfallen at the sight that greeted her. It was only her brother
lying unconscious on the floor.
She quickly dressed and cleaned up her room. With luck she would
be able to convince her brother that what he had seen was another of
his delusions.

Kodachi: "Brother, dear... what are you doing on my floor?"
Kuno regains consciousness to find himself on the floor of his
sister's room. Gone are the pictures of Ranma; the room is neat and
orderly. The mental image of his naked sister writhing on the floor
seems a dream. Kodachi lies in her bed in pajamas, a book lying on
the covers in front of her.
Kuno: "Sister... what has happened to me?"
Kodachi: "You entered my room and fainted like a woman."
Kuno: "What? You dare to impugn my honor? You who have
committed sacrilege against me?"
Kodachi: "Sacrilege? What are you talking about?"
Kuno: "My room! You have destroyed the mementos of my loves!"
Kodachi: "I did no such thing! How dare you accuse me of such an
act?"
Kuno: "Yes... yes, I see. It was the villain Saotome who snuck into
my room after our fight this afternoon, hoping to deprive
me of their light. I shall gain my vengeance tonight at the
festival!"
At the mention of Ranma's name, Kodachi starts crying.
Kodachi: "My Darling Ranma... how could you have been making
love to that demoness Akane Tendo?"
Kuno: "What! That animal violating my love's purity?"
Kuno runs out of the house toward the festival, leaving Kodachi to
go back to lying naked on her picture of Ranma until her brain
registers something that her brother had said.
Kodachi: "The festival! A prime opportunity to separate Darling
Ranma from those shameless hussies. But first I'll have to
take care of that stupid policeman."

Inspector Muramoto approaches the Kuno household as Kuno runs
out into the street. He considers stopping the running figure with
his bolas, but decides against it because he figures it wouldn't be
worth the effort; the boy probably didn't have much influence with
the sister. As long as the girl was there waiting for him.
The inspector steps up and rings the doorbell. It is answered by
some sort of servant, who informs him that Kodachi Kuno was
waiting for him in the underground training facility while playing
with her pet, Mr. Turtle. He then leads him through the
labyrinthine house, leaving him at another door. He knocks; a voice
tells him to enter.
Kodachi sits in the middle of a large room, empty except for two
service trays with food on them. The inspector sits opposite from
Kodachi, pulling out a piece of paper from his jacket pocket.
Kodachi: "So we meet again, inspector."
Inspector: "Yes. According to this injunction, you will, voluntarily,
not approach within 500 yards of the Tendo Dojo, and there
will then be no public trial or publicity of these incidents of
stalking."
The inspector passes the paper to Kodachi, who studies it. She
motions to the inspector to refresh himself, but he refuses. Kodachi
grows angry.
Kodachi: "It is most rude to refuse hospitality, inspector."
Inspector: "I meant no disrespect, miss. I have no wish to impose
upon your household."
Kodachi: "It is no imposition."
Inspector: "Perhaps I don't wish to enjoy your hospitality. Or your
drugged food."
Kodachi: "Very well... Mr. Turtle!"
Mr. Turtle quickly rumbles in from a hidden alcove. The inspector
stares stunned as his investigation didn't turn up any mention of a
giant crocodile (or alligator, he didn't know or care which). As the
reptile opens its mouth to show its teeth, the inspector jumps up to a
rafter and hangs on as Mr. Turtle takes up a position below him.
Kodachi laughs as she pulls off her dress to reveal her black leotard.
She quickly pulls out her ribbon and shreds the injunction.
Kodachi: "Guard him until I get back, Mr. Turtle! When I return
with Ranma from the festival, I won't need to go near the
accursed Tendo Dojo."
Kodachi continues to laugh as she leaps and bounds out of the room.
Inspector Muramoto's eyes widen as Mr. Turtle starts to jump in an
attempt to keep the inspector in his place (he didn't know they could
do that!).

The street in front of the first aid station was filled with older people
making their New Year's mochi. Pots of boiling water warm up the
sweet rice kept in bamboo steamers as the steam churns itself in the
cold air; off to one side were the stone vessels and the people
pounding their mochi with the large wooden mallets. Dr. Tofu and
his mother were sometimes watching, sometimes helping people as
they complete their tasks.
Kasumi puts the family's mochi rice onto one of the stacks of
steamers and walks to say hello to Dr. Tofu. An old lady sees her
coming and blurts out her name; the next instant the entire street is
deserted, the mallets dropped, the mochi mortars empty.
Dr. Tofu meets Kasumi halfway and they reach out to hold hands,
smiling at each other. Akane giggles as she remembers the previous
New Year's when Dr. Tofu accidentally injured twenty people with a
mochi mallet.
Nabiki takes the heated rice from its steamer and dumps it into the
mortar. Soun takes up a mochi mallet and starts to smash the rice
down. Akane hands a mallet to Ranma. He stares at it.
Ranma: "I... I don't know what to do."
Akane: "I'll help you."
Akane reaches around Ranma and pushes the mallet into the sticky
rice. The street is suddenly filled with people saying "Oooh!" as
they see Akane seemingly hug Ranma from the back. Soun throws
his mallet into the air as he starts to cry.
Soun: "Oh mother, they're getting along so well..."
The mochi mallet returns to earth, hitting Dr. Tofu on the head.
Kasumi: "Father! You just hit my husband!"
Everyone: "What?"
Kasumi: "Oh!" [embarrassed] "I mean my fiance."
Dr. Tofu: "Oh, Kasumi! What are you doing here? Oh look! A
mochi mallet! Is it really New Year's?"
Kasumi: [giggling] "You're acting silly again, Tofu."
The crowds that had started to return now disappear again as Dr.
Tofu starts looking for mochi to pound (but mistaking people for
rice).

Inspector Kentaro Muramoto was mad. Not only did his first case
just disintegrate from its quiet resolution, but he was trapped on a
rafter by a giant reptile who followed his every movement. As far as
he could see, there was only one exit to the room, and he would be
within easy reach of the creature when he decided to make the
attempt.
He had to take the creature out of commission. There was no telling
how much havoc Kodachi Kuno could create while he was trapped.
He reached for his gun. It was securely fastened in its holster. He
didn't want to shoot the animal, but he would if there was no other
choice.
