Iocane powder is supposed to be tasteless, odorless and colorless. 
Which makes me wonder how Prince Humperdink was able to tell what it was 
that the man in black used to kill the the Scillian.

Prince Humperdink, for all his faults, was a master soldier, 
stratetician, and gamesman.  

	Actually, he's a coward, a fool, and a spoilsport(also a really bad 
person).  However, he is a peerless hunter and master tracker.  His 
ability to detect Iocane powder(an oderless poison) by lifting the 
container to his nose and smelling it, I've always thought was rather 
suspect.  But then again he is Prince Humperdinck, peerless hunter and 
master tracker...
