For general information:

Fiance: a man engaged to be married.
Fiancee: a woman engaged to be married.

Ranma is Akane's fiance.
Akane is Ranma's fiancee.

The words are taken directly from the French language and thus have genders.
They are both pronounced the same. If you have the right fonts, the accent
is over the first "e" in both. 

The verb form is "affiance", as in "Genma affianced Ranma to Akane without 
Ranma's consent."; synonyms: engage, betroth.

I've mentioned the difference to a couple of people now and they were both
surprised, so I thought I'd mention it on the list.
