spamming incident.....
The fear of being hunted by disgruntled, pedafilic spam-haters....
And the overall embarassment of people knowing who you really are....

Those might be a few things that contribute to it...

I'm sorry, but I post with my real name.  In fact, it shouldn't be too 
hard for anyone to even find out where I live and my phone number.

If you're that ashamed of your posts that you don't want people to know 
who you are, maybe you should think twice before sending them?
