Greetings and salutations! I've only recently
subscribed to the mailing list and my grasp of etiquette is a bit shaky,
please forgive me if I'm at all rude. Thus far I've found it most enjoyable
and interesting and thought I should de-lurk.

Yay! A serious Sailor Moon fanfic! This may be the first one I've seen...I
forget.
A voice shouts "Hands in the air and nobody gets hurt!" A man pulls a
gun on Usagi and says "Okay, now we're gonna change these speeches a little.
The monarchy is draining the public dry and we're sick and tired of it!"
He tosses his own script at her, which she nearly misses catching. His hench-
men, apparently hidden in the crowd, all pull guns on everyone, then the first
man says "Read it, now, or Small Lady gets it."
This plan is pointless. Maybe I'm missing something, but if they don't
hide the fact that they're forcing her to say it, nobody's going to be
fooled into believing the speech. It'd be more interesting if they
secretly point a gun at her or her family and tell her to read the speech or
else.
Although it is a good idea, I know if I lived under the rule of Sailor
Scouts I'd be the first one rebelling ^_^. I've always wondered how the

hell these people would be proclaimed ruler of Tokyo/world.

I know SM isn't supposed to be taken seriously, but I've wondered about
this myself. The Crystal Tokyo (Empire?) looks like you're standard
variety utopia:bright, clean, shiny, peaceful and prosperous. Nice to see
someone thinks there are some "malcontents" running loose. But I assume
that the old Japanese Imperial House is gone. Given that HM government had
wanted assurances that the Emperor would be left alone if Japan
surrendered during WW2 and the sometimes violent behaviour of Japan's
right-wing when it comes to anything regarding the Imperial institution,
I figure some of Neo-Serenity's supporters spilt a bit o' human blood in
bringing her and her clique to power...
Some things just don't change no matter how pretty they get.^_^
(Polisci has made me waaaaay too cynical...)
