Well, my first attempt in a while. This is still pretty short, but there
should eventually be lots of chapters of it.
Any comments? (Of course, that's what this list is for.)
---------------------
This goes by the anime continuity, more or less, though I might add a
manga element or two. I've tried not to contradict everything, but what I've
seen stops in the middle of S. Oh, and Chibi-Usa isn't 900 years old here.
I'm using a synopsis-style format, sort of like Ace.
Sailor Moon Future
Episode 1: After the Millennium
(rough draft, not for distribution)
Opening credits: the usual Sailor Moon montage of unrecognizeable scenes,
ending in a crystal city rising from the ground. A tree in the corner begins
to grow, seasons passing, while the crystal city stays there, and it stops
in mid-summer. There appears a green-haired teenage girl with wavy hair on
the left/center, a pink-haired one with odangos on the right, a cat in between
them. The four inner Senshi then fade in standing behind them, and finally the
Neo-Queen and King Endymion on a platform above everyone else. Logo: Sailor
Moon F.
We start out with a shot of the crystal palace, and then a door with a
nameplate "Chiba Kameko". Then a scene shown at first through a window but
zooming in. In the room are the green haired and pink-haired girls arguing.
The pink-haired one is complaining about her name. The other asks "what's
wrong with your name, Small Lady?", to which the pink-haired girl throws a fit
and says that Kameko was named after Dad and doesn't have to worry about
silly-sounding names. The pink-haired girl (referred to as "oneechan") wants
to ask Mom to change it. "If she can order countries around, she can order a
change in _one_ name for her _own_ daughter!"
Narration: "I'm Chiba Kameko. Age 14. My sister Usagi is a year older,
and secretly Sailor Moon. Sometimes she's a little annoying, but sometimes
I can be too. It runs in the family."
There is a brief shot of several unkempt criminals huddling about a
map with stick figures of Neo-Queen Selenity and her two children. They draw
in other stick figures holding stick-figure guns at them. "Now here's the
plan..."
The next scene takes place in a big city, with the crystal palace visible
in the background, half hidden behind skyscrapers. Neo-Queen Selenity, Kameko,
and Usagi are all in seats on a slightly raised platform. Behind it is a
banner "World's Fair 3003". The Queen gets up and makes a long speech
welcoming everyone to the fair and being glad that the era is one of peace and
tranquility, while Usagi and Kameko fidget. She finishes her speech, then
adds "Now my daughter Small Lady will say a few words." Usagi grumbles but
makes a short version of the same speech, adding that she won't take up
everyone's time because she _knows_ that _everyone_ is eager to see the Fair
and not stand around a boring stage. A camera snaps a picture of her. She
steps off stage and vanishes into the crowd; Kameko makes a speech next.
A voice shouts "Hands in the air and nobody gets hurt!" A man pulls a
gun on Usagi and says "Okay, now we're gonna change these speeches a little.
The monarchy is draining the public dry and we're sick and tired of it!"
He tosses his own script at her, which she nearly misses catching. His hench-
men, apparently hidden in the crowd, all pull guns on everyone, then the first
man says "Read it, now, or Small Lady gets it."
Eyecatch: sounds exactly like "Sailor Moon Super" with "Future" instead.
Shot of Usagi, Kameko, and Diana in front of a picture of the moon.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Eyecatch: similar to the other one except that the picture is of the Earth.
Kameko begins to read the speech, which complains that the monarchy is
a leech on the entire world, and that it's working with the Masons and that
the pay to the King and Queen is going to waste. Then one of the crooks, the
one aiming at Usagi, looks around. "Where did she go?" Out of sight of
everyone, "Moon Prism Power, Make Up!" Usagi transforms very like her mother
used to and appears in her still-pink Sailor Moon costume.
Suddenly there is a very familiar tune, and a rose plugs the barrel of the
gun on Kameko's captor. Then more familiar voices. The four Senshi have
arrived!
"Sailor Senshi, attack!"
"Mercury Freezing Rain!"
"Mars Olympian Volcano Fire!"
"Jupiter Bamboo Growth!"
"Venus Graceful Chain!"
Finally, the second-generation Moon blasts the remaining escaping crooks
with a "Pink Moon Heart Arrest!"
Tuxedo Kamen makes a speech "Though some may hate the monarchy, its salary
is dwarfed by the free upkeep it provides to the famous Crystal Palace tourist
attraction." He adds "Are you okay, Kameko-chan?" Kameko is looking at the
crooks, who get frozen, barbecued, impaled, and crushed all at the same time,
and then turns and says "I'm okay...". She sighs and you hear her say to her-
self "Rescued again..."
Soon Usagi is herself again (now eating a large cotton candy the same color
as her hair) and walking with Kameko. Kameko asks "oneechan, what is it really
like to be a Senshi?" Usagi begins to reply by speaking about hard work,
dedication, and never being careless (in the process letting a piece of cotton
candy fall out of her mouth onto the fur of Diana, who growls). Kameko is a
little bit skeptical about just what qualifications are needed to become a
Sailor Senshi. She doesn't think it would be hard at all; after all, Usagi
only got to be a Senshi because Ami-sama warned them that knowing she would be
a Senshi at age 8 but not allowing it could lead to a time paradox. And she
does fine.
Then Usagi says that Kameko can't become a Senshi because she broke an im-
portant crystal vase and nobody can be clumsy and still be a Senshi. Kameko
suggests that it's possible to be a little bit bumbling, or even a whiner like
Usagi, and still be one of the Sailor Senshi, and thinks that the good quali-
ties will come with practice. "Since when was I a whiner?" "Oh, I don't
know, Small Lady." It rapidly degenerates into a shouting match.
Usagi and Kameko return. Usagi opens the door to her room (nice crystal
doorknob) and throws down a shopping bag. She is wearing a blouse trimmed
with little iceberg designs, with the tag still attached, and with "Small
Lady" written across the front, crossed out, and replaced with "Pink Lady".
Kameko throws another in her own room. "Boy that Antarctica pavilion was
really something..." Later that day, Kameko is in her bed, wondering "Maybe
if I asked Mom and Dad and were really, really, nice about it...."
