All your points are valid.  The problem stems from the vast LACK of 
published Ranma material here.  There's FAR more fanfic material to read 
than actual Ranma stuff.  So when you look for a model to follow, which 
is it going to end up like?  And the problem is only getting worse.  The 
amount of new Ranma stuff released each month is one video and a few 
comic books, vs. a dozen fanfics.

 True...but look at the derth of BGC stuff when compared to the mountains 
of Ranma posters, key-chains watches, placemats, fan-art etc....of course 
the airy promise of new BGC stuff (see r.a.a) makes me happy....very  
happy....
 Right now I've stolen the comcept of deamons in avatar form from Snow 
Crash and now I have Nene being served by a SD Linna...he he he.
