It's nothing complicated.  It's just a forum for discussing fanfic: 
what's popular, what's not, writing techniques, publishing tips, 
anything that has to do with the medium.  The audience is usually a mix 
of readers and writers; last year it was mostly writers.  It's fun and 
a good way to promote your work.

G'day - of course *I'm* not gonna be able to make it.. but here's a 
suggestion... There are lotsa people who write that are not going to be 
able to make it there.. so how about setting up a link to 
IRC??  - Now I know that this might seem like a bit of effort (it's not 
really that hard if you know what your doing...) - but it would give 
people a say even if they arn't there in person...

Anyway - its just a suggestion :)
