Can you say foreshadowing?

That's a bit much, even for Ranma.

        It happened so quickly that no one could believe it. The bag flew
 towards Ranma's head, but before it could make contact,
 Kuno's bokken pushed it away, and smashed into the tough skull
 of Ranma's head. Ranma stood for a moment, resisting the blow,
 then gave away, crumpling onto the ground.

Could you rewrite this part?  I can't picture what you're trying to say.
