No you don't!  You wrought better than you thought you wrote.  (heh, now 
THAT's a bad pun)  Leave it exactly as it is....  It's perfect.  You may 
need to ADD to the ending...  Like have Ranma run over near Akane, and 
have Shampoo run up to them, stop dead, look Akane in the eye. blink, and 
say something like, "Shampoo chase groom some other day.", and leave.
