Maybe a shot of P-ran in the background (unnoticed....or 

maybe seen by Ranma...) he waves...smiles but looks a little sad knowing 
that he has either negated his own existence or wil be returning to some 
alternate timeline where he is alone...yes he has stopped the actions 
leading to Akan's death here (and so some of the guilt for screwing up 
in his own time is removed or softened....) he knows that he has (and will 
always lose Akane but he has made it possible for her to survive and for  
(at least one version) him to be with her... <<

I have some more ideas, Ranma (or someone else) catches a glance of P-Ran, takes a closer look, but he isn't there anymore. 
Also, since Shampo has been removed, she shouldn't have appeared in the epilogue.
