I agree: *whew*!  I like the concept.  I presume you are going to meld 
this with the Ranmaverse we all know and love, eventually.

Very well written, so far.  Will we get to learn more about the girl and 
her friend and the horde chasing them later in the story?  (It's a fair 
question, since they are all dead now!)

It occurrs to me that it isn't really necessary for the Drowned Girl to 
have a pigtail; isn't that just the way Ranma happens to wear his hair?  
Actually, it's kind of hard to imagine what the girl might have looked 
like, come to think of it, as isn't Ranma's cursed form identical to his 
normal form except for gender?  Oh well, skip those parts: Jusenkyou 
physics bend freely to conform to plot demands and there is no reason for 
your story to be an exception.  :-)
