I do not know about the context of Martial Arts Lovemaking, but 
allow me to answer the more general questions.

Why is it that no one really ever tries to fight Akane....everyone sort 
of avoids it....they block but never really attact...maybe except Shampoo....

	Probably out of pity for the weakest of their number combined 
with the Never Hit Girls philosophy shared by most of the guys.

Is Akane really good ...or is she viewed this way because no one really 
tries to beat her?

	She's good by normal standards (ask the guys who jumped her every 
morning before she went to school), but she does not quite compare with 
the freaks that started showing up after her fiancee came to town.
