They did?  I must have been watching a different BGC 1-4 from you.  I don't
remember them killing anybody but boomers and Mason in those eps (and, IMO,

I believe BGC was originally planned as a 13 episode series.  Killing Priss
(possibly coming to a mailing list near you in the far-future) in ep 6
wasn't planned from the beginning of the series, it was something that
developed because of Oomori's contract problems.  And the producers changed
their minds about doing that at, apparently, the last minute.  (A discussion
NOT for this ML is how, when, and where they were going to do it <g>)

on ftp.std.com are some of the best.  Like I said, I think _Crusade_ is 
an amazing piece of work, and something which should be mandatory reading 
for any prospective fanfic author.

I wholeheartedly agree with that.  Some of my personal BGC favorites
(besides "Crusade") include "Anima" and "Flash Powder" (they are linked
stories, with a third, "Eye of the Storm", in-progress) and "Black Hunter"
(events from BH are referred to in "Crusade").  All are available from the
archive.

I also think a lot of good stuff is 
still being produced (BGZone -- even with its "brown tousled hair" :) -- 
is a great example).  

That's *red* tousled hair.  It's green-brown *eyes*, unless you're talking
about Priss, in which case it becomes red-brown eyes.  If you're talking
about Nene, that changes to emerald green eyes. ;-)  (sorry Bert, I can't
help myself!  Going to send SK after me with his shiny silver-blue hardsuit?

Another very good recent story is "Yearings", a fairly short story with a
premise that nobody (that I know of anyway) had ever explored before.  The
same person is currently working on "Dance of Armor".  Both of these are
also available at the archive.
