What's going on here? Just last night I discover *the* most depressing fan
story of all-time (and a very well written one at that), and now this!->

I have a feeling that the last page will have most DP fans _extremely_
upset :-)

Spoilers.....

I think it's an understatement to say Ryan's a little peeved. I think it's
a MAJOR understatement to say a LOT of people are going to feel the same way.

I certainly did NOT see that ending coming. Interesting 'symbology' in the
last 2 panels too, don't you think?

I must agree with your assessment of Ryan's current emotional
state, and I too hope he does not give up on DP fanfic (I for one _loved_
Reunions). Moreover, I can understand why he (and probably many others)
want Warren hung over the ending of FbnS (I just went "HUH!?!" when I saw
the last page)
BUT (there is always one of those, isn't there ;), I can
understand and admire what Adam was trying to get across/drive home.

Face it, as far as any objective measurement (memories (possibly
aside from a few week gap), personality, feelings, etc), they were _both_
Yuri!

Yeah, but what about the look on Kei's face on those last 2 pages. If this
were real, I don't think things would be right between them for quite a
while. (And Sleet STILL has to pay for what he did to Yuri2 when they were
alone together, along with everything else he caused!)

<snip>

Of course, I had hoped that Warren would have handled the
relevation about the "original" Yuri's demise a little better; maybe a
few more thought ballons along the lines of "Yuri, is that you?" or "Was
I. . . dreaming? <checks tattoos>" would have helped cool a few tempers
(of course, a little subtlety would not have hurt either (i.e. the one on
her hand not being removable until the gunshot fully healed)).

I think he was taking shots at the 'rabid fanboys' right to the end - just
read the tattoos in those last 2 frames.

I _do_ hope
Warren makes a point of addressing the somewhat _profound_ issues he
raised in FbnS in the future, or I will be somewhat diappointed.

Did you read his comments at the end? Sounds like he will be doing at least
a couple more eventually. I shudder to guess what Adam's going to come up
with next....... (OTOH - Toren Smith told me at Anime East that Adam likes
to do/say things to spin people up [such as the infamous
Priss-with-her-arms-ripped-off interview of 2 years ago - he hasn't even
written the story for the comic that was supposedly going to happen in yet!]
- I think he's more than done enough spinning this time)
