I have a feeling that the last page will have most DP fans _extremely_
upset :-)
Spoilers.....

I think it's an understatement to say Ryan's a little peeved. I think it's
a MAJOR understatement to say a LOT of people are going to feel the same way.
I certainly did NOT see that ending coming. Interesting 'symbology' in the
last 2 panels too, don't you think?
I must agree with your assessment of Ryan's current emotional
state, and I too hope he does not give up on DP fanfic (I for one _loved_
Reunions). Moreover, I can understand why he (and probably many others)
want Warren hung over the ending of FbnS (I just went "HUH!?!" when I saw
the last page)
BUT (there is always one of those, isn't there ;), I can
understand and admire what Adam was trying to get across/drive home.

Face it, as far as any objective measurement (memories (possibly
aside from a few week gap), personality, feelings, etc), they were _both_
Yuri! I know how stupid it sounds, I know how quickly I will be labled
HardCore FanBoy(tm), and I know that the old "Genetic Template Complete
With Memories" just _scream_ bad Marvel Retcon; but _it_ _makes_ _sense_.
Reading back to the speach/rant of 'Yuri2.0' in issue #3, it
struck me as almost unnerving how much it sounded like someone (namely me,
especially in high school) berating him/herself over percived or actual
failings. Yuri2 was simply living out her own fantasies in a particularly
warped sim as far as she knew (the neurochemically induced self hatred did
color her feelings toward herself a bit though (or am I being
redundant?)), and even then she could not bear to pull the trigger on what
outsiders might think to be her worst living enemy.
Of course, I had hoped that Warren would have handled the
relevation about the "original" Yuri's demise a little better; maybe a
few more thought ballons along the lines of "Yuri, is that you?" or "Was
I. . . dreaming? <checks tattoos>" would have helped cool a few tempers
(of course, a little subtlety would not have hurt either (i.e. the one on
her hand not being removable until the gunshot fully healed)). I _do_ hope
Warren makes a point of addressing the somewhat _profound_ issues he
raised in FbnS in the future, or I will be somewhat diappointed.
