Subject: Perhaps an alt. group?

First off, let me say that, so far, I think this is a pretty cool ML,
despite the difficulties as of late.

Nevertheless, as much as I like it here, I don't know if I can stick
around. This may sound goofy but... I've never received this much mail
before, in six years on the Internet. Not even close. Today I had one
hundred eleven messages in my box. They weren't all from the list, but
most were.

I've been on as many as three active lists, and never got anywhere near
this much stuff. I'm kinda cowed by it all, since mail has always been
something I've done quickly at the beginning of each session. If I do
stay, I'll probably need to install a better mail package to handle it
all, especially considering that the R.A.A Favorites Poll starts up in
three weeks, which will flood my mailbox even further.

So I thought that, just for the hell of it, I'd toss out the idea: what
about turning the ML into an alt. newsgroup? With the amount of daily
traffic, there's more than enough justification for one. Creating it
would be child's play. Someone who knows how could set up a gateway
between the ML and the group, so that the ML could still be used by
those unable to receive the group.

What do you think? It's just an idea. No flames, please. :-)
