It was a first fanfic by William Baird [wbaird@nmsu.edu].  He has not
finished it, and he did not respond to the email "fan" letter I sent to him
when I first read his story.  In fact, it was his story that led me to post
my "Lurker" message concerning fanfiction back in August on r.a.a.  If you
manage to contact him, please tell him he owes me a reply, and The REST of
the damned story!
