    a) no-one here claimed to be in their right mind :)

Ok, this brings up a question. The old right brain/left brain thing. If
I remember correctly, the right brain is the creative side. Since this
is a list of writers, we must use that side of the brain. Now, if I'm
wrong, why, we all use computers, and what could be more technical than
that? So we're *still* right brained.

I'm not quite sure that writing is really entirely (or even mostly, in
some cases) a right-brain sort of thing. I'm also not really sure that
using computers is a left-brain sort of thing. I've read a lot of
terribly didactic fanfics, and I've met a lot of sysadmins whose
solutions were, to say the least, ... highly creative.

Exactly my point! I'm a sysadmin, and you should see some of the crap we
do here. (heh heh)

This seems to hold particularly true for fanfics, where both internal-
and external- continuity and technical accuracy seem to be held in such
high regard. Writing can sometimes seem more an exercise in patching
disparate details together than some sort of spontaneous invocation of
the muses.

Do you offer translations? ^_^
