Well in the process of adding some of the fics for authors I've gotten
replies from, I've run into a slight problem.  I need help coming up
with appropriate ways to concisely categorize the fictions.  I'm using a
set of keywords right now, but the problem is that I don't have all the
categories covered.  Here's what I have so far:


   Alternate Future
          Expands the story into a future that hasn't been written yet.
          (What happens when Ataru and Lum get married in the Urusei
          Yatsura world.)

   Alternate History
          Something happens fundamentally different than in the
          original. (Keichi wishes for Urd to be his girlfriend instead
          of Belldandy in Oh! My Goddess!)

   Continuity
          Does not alter the original events but adds new material. (A
          lost episode where the members of Tenchi Muyo go on a hiking
          trip.)

   Crossover
          A meeting of the characters or worlds of two or more individual
          series. (For example Akane from Ranma 1/2 meets the characters
          from Kimagure Orange Road.)

   Insertion
          Puts a person from RealLife(tm) into a story. (I wake up and
          find myself in the middle of Robotech.)

   Multiverse
          Insertion and/or Crossover but with a large number of
          people/stories. (Characters from 8 different universes team
          up to defeat all of Earth's historical tyrants.)

   New Character
          Adds a new (original) character or group of characters.
          (Yuri's sister shows up to help out the Dirty Pair on a mission)

First off I don't like the name for some of them (<ahem> Continuity
<ahem> )  and I also just know there's some I've missed.  The examples
and explanations could also use some cleaning up.  C&C welcome.
