That's "bat'leth", I'm pretty sure.  But then again, I only know that
because I read Entertainment Weekly's summary of all 178 TNG episodes.
I believe the quote was:  "Natural Born Klingon alert:  bad guy gets taken
out by a bat'leth to the sternum".

Your spelling is correct
