No, the dinner scene was fine.  Sneaking out without paying seems like a 
little too much, though.. wouldn't that offend Nabiki's entrepreneurial 
spirit?

-Heretical non-Hentai story question: Should Ranma and Nabiki have sex in 
the final scene of the story?  

Definitely not, for the reason you mention: it would taint what has so far
been a refreshingly faithful (though different!) rendition of the
Ranmaverse.  There are, after all, a lot of dark and depressing Ranma 
fanfics floating around the 'net these days.  ;-)

(Before I'm lynched by 50% of the fanfic authors here: not that there's
anything wrong with the "dark" stuff!  It's just nice to see a "normal"
story once in a while.)

I think it might be interesting to reconcile what they did for the next 
few episodes.  

It might, but it belongs in a new fanfic (perhaps even a short side
story?).  R&N has too much potential, and you've put too much work into it
already, to go and reduce it to that level (all IMHO).

-The ukulele scene: I didn't make the fanfic a "how to play ukulele" 
instructional, did I?  Teaching the basics of an instrument is very sweet 
in real life but I don't know how well it translated. 

Naw, it was fine (although it's hard to picture Ranma playing the
ukulele!).
