Among the many other things I should set up some day, I could set up a
way to mail request for stories to an autoresponder. For example, you
mail wliia@ranma.net, and you get mailed back a copy of Who's Life Is It,
Anyway. (Don't try this yet, you'll just send it to me) What do you
think?  Good idea?  Bad idea?

It would mean standardizing some sort of naming convention, or else you'd
get hundreds of different requests for the same thing, and then
explaining the standard to all the current users, and then all the new
users, and then sorting out what happens when two names conflict. What
moght be better is an ftp by mail type setup like:

mailto: ftp@ranma.net
subject: Fanfic get directory

->get back list of the contents of the fanfic directory

mailto: ftp@ranma.net
subject: Fanfic get Whos_life.text.txt

->get back file (maybe uuecoded/compressed???)

See? you could also ask for instructions (subject: help)

I think this would be a little more flexible in the end, and less of a
load on maintaining any number of mail addresses for any number of stories.

You get the idea.
