Among the many other things I should set up some day, I could set up a
way to mail request for stories to an autoresponder. For example, you
mail wliia@ranma.net, and you get mailed back a copy of Who's Life Is It,
Anyway. (Don't try this yet, you'll just send it to me) What do you
think? Good idea? Bad idea?

Something like that isn't only a good idea, I think it's a downright
necessity. The main substance of this list, apart from bios, spam and
the occasional comment, are works in progress. Many of these works are
_very_ large, and are (hopefully) broken up into chapters.
If, out of deference to new subscribers, BGZone were published,
in its entirety, every time a revision came out there would be some
serious problems. Indeed, there have been several reposts of
multiple-part stories. Some sort of requestor/version control thing
would _really_ make things easier. I'm about ready to plop another 90+K
on here (hopefully) later tonight, and I honestly considered
consolidating it with the last 80-some-odd I posted last week. Doing so
would, of course, be bad.
