Don't forget one important factor: the crew. That will be the
real deciding factor in most of these battles. The Voyager, with its
mixed crew of regulation Starfleet, rebels, and assorted hitchiking
aliens, is not in the same league as the Enterprise or Defiant/DS9
folks. The Voyager doesn't even have a real doctor! (Although the
hologram, IMHO, is one of the more interesting crewmembers on the ship.)
As for the Enterprise vs the Defiant, in a straight up battle,
I'd say the Defiant has the edge. It is a _warship_, meaning big guns +
heavy armor + lots o' power. And Sisko has more of a warlike attitude
than Picard. Remember, Sisko punched _Q_! That takes guts.
In anything but a straight up fight, though, the Enterprise would
win. It has more rescources, so if they have time, Geordi and Data could
come up with something to turn the tide of battle. Remember Kirk vs.
Khan? Kirk won because he knew more about their environment than Khan
did. I like the DS9 folks, but they don't stack up against Data + Picard
+ Geordi in the brains department. And Data was the guy who figured out
how to break a cloak.
It's kinda like Ranma vs Ryoga. Ryoga is tougher, but Ranma is
smarter.
Of course, now that Worf is on DS9, all bets are off...
