The Defiant is small and cute and all with it's cloak and stuff, but...

        Yup, those stuff are all nice and all but they are still not enough

The Enterprise has more phaser arrays, a larger energy generator to power
those phasers, as well as shields to match.  The Enterprise also has
the "exploratory" equipment to penetrate the Defiant's cloak since the 
Defiant was meant for either scouting or combat, while the Enterprise
can draw upon other tech-resources.

In short, Enterprise will easily thrash the Defiant in a combat scenario
a good deal of the time.  Exceptions are when the defiant stabs from behind,
but then there is always the Picard Manuevere.
