        The reason why there are so many Ranma Fan-fics on this list is
because Ranma Fan-fics are the easiest to write. It's one of the closet
Animes to reality.

NANI??  A boy (or is it a girl?) and his/her father (or is it a panda?),
do the martial arts thing.  Ranma/Ranko and co. have a half a dozen love
polygons (as opposed to triangles), etc.  Reality?  Maison Ikkoku is just
a *bit* closer, thanks.
