                                               Tendo Dojo | 5:00 PM


	Ranma had just fallen into the pond after another long afternoon
workout. As she climbed out of the cold pond water getting ready to pound
her father who was still human, Ranma-chan herd Akane calling her. 
	"Ranma, can you and your father come inside. . . we have, umm. . .
company." 
	"Fine, I'm coming.  Lets go dad." 
	Ranma and Genma walked into the dining room to find, to their
shock, Kuno, Nabiki, Soun, and Akane sitting at the table.  Ranma started
to back up, not wanting to give Kuno any chance of laying his hands on
her.  Akane looked at Ranma and began to feel angry but she held back he
anger and said, " Ranma, he's not here for you." 
	"You're not?" 
	"Alas my pig tailed goddess, I no longer seek your or Akane's
affection." 
	Ranma-chan and Akane went silent, they could not believe what they
just herd.  In the last year they wanted nothing in the world more than to
hear Kuno say what he had just said. 
	Ranma-chan, shaky as she was, managed to find her usual seat by
Akane's side.  Genma sat down next to Soun and waited for whatever was
coming next.  Before anyone could say anything Kasumi entered the room
with a large tray which had a pitcher of light colored red liquid in it,
several cups with ice in them, and a bowl full of assorted snacks.  She
gave everyone a cup, poured everyone half a glass of the red liquid, set
the tray down in the center of the table, and sat down between Kuno and
Akane. 
	After an awkward moment of silence Soun decided that he would be
the first to speak. 
	"We're all here Kuno, now tell us what you want." 
	Kuno cleared his throat and looked at Nabiki who nodded at his
look.  He stood up, looked at Soun and said, "Mr. Tendo, I Tatewaki Kuno
the Blue Thunder of Furinkin High have asked Nabiki Tendo to marry me and
she has accepted my offer." 
	Before anyone could say anything Soun did something that surprised
everyone.  He leapt to his feet and ran in between Kuno and Nabiki, put
one hand on each of their shoulders and instead of yelling, began to bless
their engagement. 
	"Nabiki, Kuno, this is wonderful.  You have my blessings.  You may
get married at once." 
	"That's so beautiful," smiled Kasumi. 
	"DAD, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Shouted Akane as she stood up. 
	"So Kuno, you really don't want me anymore?" Ranma asked. 
	"Ranma, why can't you be more like Kuno?" Genma angrily asked his
son. In response he got a bucket of cold water across the face. 
	Everyone seemed to be talking at once.  Every one but Kasumi and
Nabiki were talking.  It got louder and louder until Nabiki could stand no
more.  She stood up and yelled, " ENOUGH!" 
	Everyone stopped their speeches and looked at Nabiki.  Now that
she had their full attention she began to explain. 
	"Dad, Mr. Saotome, I have accepted Kuno's proposal because I love
him, and because. . . . i'm. . . . pregnant."

                                                   The First Pages

	Nabiki was sitting in her room thinking about the events of the
past Six hours.  She looked at the new book which sat atop her desk.  The
book had a hard leather cover which had ornate patterns accented with
silver and gold carved into it.  She decided this was a good as time as
ever and opened to the first page. 
	The pages were constructed of a paper well suited for a nice dark
ink to be used.  At the top of each page there was a small line where the
date was to be scribbled in.  Only the first page had any pre-written
words on it.  Those words were at the top of the page and written in a
very fancy gold script.  The two words simply said, "Dear Diary." 
	As she went to pick up a pen her hand brushed up against her log
book. Nabiki took hold of the worn and torn book which had kept her
company on many a rainy day.  She began to realize how, after tonight, she
would have no need to bribe or blackmail anyone anymore. 
	"Guess I don't need you anymore." 
	She looked to the side of her desk and tossed the little black
book into the half empty trash basket.  Now grabbing the pen with no
interruption, Nabiki moved the pen point to the first line of the book and
started to write. 
	{ Dear Diary, today I got engaged to Tatewaki Kuno, told my father a
big lie, and admitted I was pregnant.  It was a slow day around here I
guess. Well, I guess your wondering how all this happened?  Let me tell
you... 
	It all started five months ago, in the school nurses office.  Kuno
baby had just challenged Ranma-chan and Akane into another duel with the
winner being able to date him.  The fight met with the same result... him
being hit in the head several hundred times by both Akane and Ranma-chan. 
I was watching the fight with the rest of the school, everyone knew what
was about to happen.  When Kuno went down I knew I had to take him to the
nurses office.  If I didn't, who would? 
	Once I got some help getting Kuno into the nurses office I had him
placed on the paitent's bed.  He just lay there, sleeping like a baby.  I
got a cold wash cloth and placed it on his forehead to hold the swelling
down.  After I was done doing everything I could short of waking him up
and asking for services rendered, he began to talk in his sleep ( what a
fool ). 
	First he went,"Akane, Pig Tailed Girl, I love them both, will you
both date with me?"'
	If that was not enough, he had to continue with,"No Akane, don't
hit my Pig Tailed Goddess like that...  Don't kick the Akane I love Pig
Tailed Girl..." 
	He suddenly sat up, eyes still closed, and raised his arms to
chest level. Kuno put both feet on the floor and looked directly at me,
eyes still closed, and recited,"Yes Akane, Pig Tailed Girl, come to me...
what's that?  Allow the great Tatewaki Kuno to come to you, prepare thy
selves." 
	He hoped out of bed and fell flat on his face.  Kuno opened his
eyes, sprang to his feet, and began to look for his Pig Tailed Girl and
Akane.  He looked, found noting, looked at me and had the nerve to ask if
I had seen either one. 
	This was too much for even me to handle, I began to laugh.  Come
on, how dumb could this fool be?  I was about to find out. 
	Ignoring my laughter to look for his 'goddesses' he proceeded to
check every corner of the room.  He looked in the closet, under the bed,
even in the dirty sheets hamper.  Only after this search did he notice my
laughter. 
	"What do you find so funny Nabiki Tendo?"  He asked. 
	I stopped laughing and replied,"Um Kuno, you are such a fool. 
Even I didn't think you could be so stupid." 
	"How dare you speak to the great Tatewaki Kuno like that, insolent
wench," he dared snap at me. 
	"Oh, I'm so scared," I giggled back. 
	That's when he got a little upset. 
	"I, the one who makes all who face me cower in a cold, dark fear
will not allow someone the likes of you Nabiki Tendo to insult the great
Tatewaki Kuno." 
	I got off the stool I was sitting on and looked him dead in the
eyes,"Kuno, your pathetic, you can't even beat Akane in a fight, how do
you ever expect to beat Ranma?" 
	"I choose to lose to Akane Tendo,"  He stated. 
	His arrogance even surprised me.  Maybe he had been hit in the
head one to many times? 
	"Is that so?"  I smartly asked. 
	Kuno smiled and brushed the hair from his eyes,"Nabiki Tendo, doth
the berry distill a more sweeter nectar than the flavor of love?  I
Tatewaki Kuno would date with my Akane and my Pig Tailed Girl any time I
choose, all I need do is call their names and they will be at my side," he
told me. 
	"You have got to be joking, you are so pathetic.  Do you really
believe that? In all my life I have never met anyone as dumb as you are!" 
I told him. 
	Thats what pushed him over the edge. 
	He withdrew his bokken and pointed it at me," I will take your
insults no longer Nabiki Tendo, challenge accepted." 
	This really surprised me, In the six years that I have known Kuno
he has never challenged me.  The scary thing was, he was mad, really mad,
I had hit a tender nerve, and I was about to pay for it, maybe with my
life.  He, being the fool he was, approached me, looking only at me,
ignoring everything else but me.  I began to back up, but to by dismay he
had me trapped in a corner.  He raised his sword high above his head and
ran towards me, closing the fifteen feet that lay between us in less than
a second. 
	I thought I was dead.  I closed my eyes, ready to see my mother
again, when, to my surprise, I felt Kuno's body tackle me to the floor. 
The fool had tripped on the stool that I was sitting on. 
	There we lay for several minutes.  Him unconsious again, and me
still too shaken to move...  ok, I know this sounds pretty sad, but, I was
afraid.  He was going to kill me, no, a stool.. NO, Kuno's stupidity saved
me...  That's not true, he later told me that he never really wanted to
kill me, he just wanted to scare me for making fun of him.. }
	Nabiki yawned, she had had a long day.  She closed her book, and
flopped into her bed.  Before she closed her eyes for the night she took
off the large diamond ring that graced her ring finger and set it on the
nightstand. 
	She opened her eyes one last time to look at the picture of her
and Kuno on the cruise ship.  She smiled and whispered,"Tatewaki, I love
you."  with that said she rolled over and went to sleep.
