Excerpts from mail: 20-Oct-95 Re: Animate! by Robert K Bentley @ix.net
Ah yes music. Hehs. I'm a very big John Williams/James Horner/Mike
Kamen/Graeme Revell and more fan. (beats back every growing CD
Soundtrack selection with a large stick whew.)
Actually, these have no lyrics and are rather moody. You'd have to listen
to them to see (hear?) what I mean.
If the Beginning were
ever animated....hrmmmmms. I think I'd like the guys who did Macross
Plus or Akira to do it. Computer graphics would be a must.
I'd rather go with live action, Stan Winston+ ILM doing SFXs,
(insert best day and only day of my life here. ;)) Director (well sides
me heh): I dunno. Philp Noyce comes to mind or maybe the guy from Red
October. Speilberg would be there.I have actully done one soundtrack to
the Beginning. Mostly background music and with songs by Huey Lewis,
Roxette, Queen and others.
If and when the Beginning was put into motion and music came up it
would be a toss up. John Williams, Horner and Kamen pop straight to
mind in that order.
You wouldn't try to write any yourself? :)
As for the computer animation question: I've done some stuff on the
power mac with Director. Used Freehand for redoing my art and the
Illustrator. Music.....I used to play the clarinet in HS.
Hm. I have a 3D rendering program, but it's not very appropriate for
curvy stuff. Like people. Background scenery would be easy on it tho.
Take the entire kit and ca boodle to Dream Works and let Speilberg
work magic. :))))) And yes the entire movie would be in ear bleeding
THX.
One can dream, can't one. :)
You can. But remember, I *did* say that such a company would be a
consideration, once my friend inherited his million, in two years.
