Well, just to give you an idea, the machines here in the campus computer

Sounds good, but you're probably going to need my HD storage. Even with
a P-120, I don't know how fast renderings would run.
However, the output to videotape would be the trickest part.
Natch. A hifi stereo VCR is my other project.
That and the video I/O card.
I'm curious. *Has* animation from some of the anime we watch been done
and sequenced on a computer? What about the music?
Lots. I remember a really good section on it on the Akira LDs.
Can you be more specific? I assume you mean there was a documentary
contained on the LDs, describing some computer animation/music in Akira.
Was *all* of Akira done on a computer, or just parts of it?
Yes, it was a documentary. The art was definitely done by hand, but I
think most of the frame-by-frame animation/sound/sync was done with
computer aided equipment. I specifically remember a section where this
guy was talking about how using computer syncing for the dialogue and
animation that he could to it in a third of the time needed for
non-computerized equipment.
Try getting some info on Macross Plus, as a lot of it was done with
computers and some scenes were completely SGI.
I was just wondering. But even so, in two years a friend of mine is
inheriting at least a million dollars, (more if he can get things sorted
out with the will; it's being contested and mucked around with) and we
could plunk some of it down on a video. Maybe even start our own company,
though I'm not sure if a million would go very far. That, and I've heard
that it's not a very profitable industry unless you get really lucky.
You could setup a company like Animeigo! Anime for fen by fen.
