PART VI
WARNING SIGNS: Mousse vs Ryoga! Ryo makes a deal! Ryoga gets drunk!
===============
[Mid November: Monday Morning]
=Hello? Yes, this is Ryo Muhoshin. I called a while back for some
background information on certain persons who are in the Furinkan HS area,
particularly one Ryoga Hibiki.=
"Oh, yes, I remember you. It's been a while."
=Do you have ANY idea how innacurate your information was?=
"What?"
=Ryoga Hibiki no longer resides at the Tendo dojo! Akane Tendo is engaged
to some ridiculously overpowered martial artist! Nobody warned me about the
little old perverted troll with a talent for bombs!=
"Mr. Muhoshin."
=What?=
"You accusing me of something?"
=YES. Misleading information!=
"Mr. Muhoshin, I'd like to point out one thing. EXACTLY WHEN did you
acquire this information?"
=A MONTH AGO!=
"No."
=No?=
"No. A year ago. I've got the records to prove it."
=You're bluffing.=
"Remember who you're talking to."
=Er.... sorrytobotheryaseeyalater*CLICK*=
-------------
"Nabiki, time for dinner. Oh, am I interrupting something?"
Nabiki put the phone down and walked to the door. "No. Just straightening
out some business matters. C'mon Akane, let's eat. I'm starving."
-------------
Ryo sat on his bed, looking thoroughly embarrased.
"Damn," he said, gritting his teeth, "do I feel stupid."
The television, which was on the all-news network, was reporting on yet
another report of rampaging pig attacks when Ryo shut it off, needing a bit
of silence to deal with the humiliation that he felt.
He felt entirely too embarrased to buy an update of the situation from his
anonymous informant and decided to do some personal (and very careful)
surveilance.
------------
"And she said WHAT!?!?!?"
All eyes in the okonomiyaki shop turned to Ryoga.
"You heard me right, Hibiki" Mousse said, looking serious.
"Hm. Wait. This isn't a problem, right? I'll just throw the fight."
"But we must make it look good! I want to impress my future bride."
"Oh, of course, of course." Ryoga nodded solemnly.
"And be sure to steer clear of Shampoo or the old ghoul before the fight.
I have a feeling they're up to something."
-----------
Genma and Soun were looking extremely happy as they sat at the dinner table.
Ranma sensed something important had happened.
"Hey, pop, something good happen?"
"Yes, my son. Good fortune has smiled on this house at last."
"That's right, Saotome!" Soun added.
"What happened?" Ranma asked.
"I'M SOOOO HAPPY!!!!" Soun yelled, bursting into tears.
"Ranma, my boy, you won't be seeing Happosai any time soon."
"Hey, that's great! He finally move out?"
"Nope. Massive internal injuries."
"Say what?"
"Every bone in his body was broken or cracked. He won't be able to leave
the hospital for months, maybe years! MUHHAHAHAHA!"
"But who did this? You know Happosai isn't easy to beat. If someone had
beaten him up THAT badly..."
"FOOLISH BOY! Never question good fortune!"
Ranma resumed eating, thinking about the situation. Who could have beaten
up Happosai THAT badly? Maybe Miss Hinako, but break every bone in his body?
That wasn't like her. Cologne? Not her style either.
Wait... the last time Ranma saw Happosai was at the movie theater. He
was fighting someone, right? Ranma tried to remember what Happosai was
yelling.
{"MUHOSHIN, DIE!"}
No way. It couldn't be.
-----------
[Wednesday afternoon]
In the same sight where Ranma and Mousse first squared off, the showdown
between Ryoga and Mousse was arranged. As before, there was a crowd. That
was the great thing about this neighborhood, free entertainment like public
martial arts fights that happen often.
Ryoga and Mousse were in opposite corners, trying to look serious about the
fight. Ranma, Akane, and Ukyo were sitting in the front rows. Shampoo was
nearby as well, holding a sign that said in large letters "SHAMPOO MARRY
NOBODY!" She wasn't happy with either choice.
Akane and Ranma were side by side. Ukyo was sitting next to Ranma and was
looking uncomfortable.
"Hey, Ukyo. Ryoga ever tell you why he's so spooked by me lately?"
"Um... be honest with me, Ranchan. Did you pull some sort of 'prank' on
Ryoga recently?"
"Nope. And I'm being honest about this, really. I didn't do _anything_
to Ryoga."
"Good."
"No... wait... there was that one thing I did. Heh. That was a good
one." He remembered that stunt when he tricked Kuno into beating up Ryoga.
That one was a classic.
"What?"
"Well, while I was in my girl form I went looking for Ryoga and gave him
a really big hug but what he didn't know was..."
Ukyo looked horrified. She turned pale. Before Ranma could finish his
story, Ukyo gave him a massive hundred hand slap. "YOU PERVERT!" She yelled.
Ukyo left her seat and stood by Ryoga's corner. She couldn't believe it.
Ranma _did_ make out with Ryoga. That was going just too far. That was... it
was... _sick_. Ukyo couldn't believe that this was the man she was in love
with.
Meanwhile, Akane gave Ranma an angry glare. "What did you do now!?!"
she yelled.
"Nothing! I swear!"
***
"Hey, Mousse," Ryoga yelled, "ya ready to fight, eh?" He couldn't hold
back a smile.
"Yes. Indeed. I shall surely defeat you Hibiki." Mousse cracked a quick
smile as well."
Cologne entered the ring. "Come, both of you."
The pair stepped to the center of the ring. Suddenly, Cologne poked Ryoga
with her stick. "Beat up Mousse. FIGHT!" Ryoga's eyes glazed over.
"What did you do to him, you old ghoul?"
"Heheheh, just wanted to make sure Ryoga gave his all in this fight."
"Why yoOOF!" Mousse was interrupted by Ryoga's umbrella poke to the
stomach. "Ryoga! Snap out of it! Ryoga!" Ryoga's eyes were blank, but
he stepped stedily forward, tearing bandanas from his head.
"What's that idiot doing?" Ranma muttered.
"Hey! Ryoga!" Ukyo yelled.
"So I've gotta do this the hard way, eh?" Mousse took a step back.
"FINE!" He stepped forward, a duck-shaped toilet trainer suddenly appearing
in his hand and aimed at Ryoga's head. Ryoga smashed the trainer with a
punch. Ryoga jumped back and threw a handfull of bandanas at Mousse, who
countered by slicing them all with metal claws that popped out of his sleeve.
Ryoga opened his umbrella and flung it at Mousse, who dodged to the left and
charged at Ryoga with a bonbori much like Shampoo's. Ryoga caught the weapon
with one hand, but was still hit when the bonbori opened up on top to reveal
a spring-loaded glove that rocketed forth to hit him in the nose. Mousse
stepped back, not noticing that Ryoga's umbrella was coming back. It flew
over Mousse, but the handle was flying low enough to hit Mousse in the back
of the head. Mousse collapsed on the floor, stunned.
Cologne sprang up to the center of the ring and said "It is official,
Ryoga shall be Shampoo's br-"
"IT'S NOT OVER!" Mousse yelled, getting up quickly. He whipped his arms
forward, releasing an absurd amount of chains which wrapped themselved around
Ryoga. Mousse slowly walked towards Ryoga, struggling to carry a rather large
concrete pillar. Cologne murmered to Ryoga "Akane hates you." Ryoga began
to glow. "Ukyo hates you." Ryoga's glow became a fire. "You'll be alone
for the rest of your acursed life." Ryoga's blank face became a snarl.
"Ranma is _always_ going to be better than you." The fiery glow around
Ryoga began to swirl.
"Oh no, he's gonna do it," Ranma muttered. "Ryoga! C'mon, snap out of
it! Don't do this! RYOGAAAA!"
Mousse noticed Ryoga was glowing as well. "Must... strike... now!" He
lifted the pillar up high.
Cologne murmered one last thing. "You're a pig."
"SHISHI HOUKOU-DAN!!!" A blast of energy rushed from Ryoga's hands,
striking Mousse. Mousse was flung back, caught in the dead center of the
blast. Meanwhile, Mousse's pillar flung arching high, going towards Ryoga.
Mousse was on his knees, trying to get up. Cologne stood at the center once
more and said "Give up Mousse, you're beat*ACK*" Mousse looked up to see what
could have interrupted Cologne. He smiled when he saw that the concrete
pillar had landed on Ryoga and Cologne both. Mousse jumped to his feet.
"I'VE WON! I'VE WON!!!" He yelled. The pillar rolled off Ryoga's head,
revealing a stunned Ryoga and a flat little ghoul. Ryoga muttered "wha...
happa.. whoa..."
"I AM GOING TO MARRY SHAMPOO!"
"Hold on, Mousse, the fight isn't over." To everyone's surprise,
Cologne was back up.
"Oh yes it is. Look at him!" Mousse pointed to Ryoga, who was on his
knees and still stunned. "Huh?"
"You see? He is not defeated yet."
"Oh yes I am," Ryoga said. He seemed to be himself once more. Realizing
what was happening, Ryoga quickly fell on his back and tried his best to look
knocked out.
"That has got to be the _worst_ acting I have ever seen," Ranma said.
"Shampoo no care. Shampoo no marry any of you!"
"Get up you slacker," Cologne said, reaching over with her staff
towards Ryoga.
"Oh no you don't!" Ranma jumped into the ring and seized Cologne's staff
before she could do any further damage.
"It is over!" Mousse yelled.
"No it isn't! Just you wait! I shall call the Amazon Lawyers to settle
this matter! The law is on my side!" Everyone was surprised at this outburst
by Cologne. She'd rarely ever become hysterical before.
"Gee, I guess she REALLY doesn't want Mousse as a son-in-law," Ranma
murmered.
Meanwhile, Ryo had seen enough. That really was terrible acting by
Hibiki. He was disgusted. Ryo lept away, heading somewhere where he hoped
to relax for a while.
He wasn't aware that he was not unnoticed.
------------
Mousse and Ryoga were following someone around the streets of Nerima.
Ukyo would have been with them, except that she had to go back to the
resteraunt and manage things.
They turned around corners, through crowds, and finally stopped at
a busy cafe.
"Well, should we follow him in?" Mousse asked.
"I think we've got him cornered."
"It's your call."
Ryoga hesitated a moment. Ukyo told him that this guy managed to nearly
kill Happosai. This had to be handled with caution. "Be ready for anything"
Ryoga warned.
They stepped into the cafe. It was a very crowded atmosphere, with
businessmen on their break, young people just relaxing, and other assorted
kinds of people in a general mix.
A waitress greeted them.
"Excuse me, sirs," she said, "but the gentleman at table 28 would like to
know if you two would join him."
"Eh?" Ryoga answered. She pointed to a table. Ryo was sitting there,
thumbing through a newspaper.
"Sure. We'll join him."
"And what would you like to drink?"
"Er..."
"The man offered to pay."
"Gimmie the most expensive stuff. One for my friend too."
"Okay, your drink will be ready in one minute. Go ahead and have a seat."
Miraculously, Mr. Blind and The Lost Boy made their way to Ryo's table
without getting lost.
"Ryoga," Ryo said, "you make a lousy spy."
"Why you..." Ryoga bared his fangs and made a fist.
"Hey now, no fighting in a place like this. Too many bystanders here.
Besides, you look like you've had a rough day, no? So what do you say, truce
for a day?"
"Fine."
"By the way, that was the WORST acting job I have ever seen. In the fight,
I mean. Between you two, that is."
Ukyo shrugged and had a seat. Ryoga sat as well, but didn't stop glaring
angrily at Ryo.
"Relax, will you?" Ryo said. "You're ruining the atmosphere."
"Ryoga," Mousse asked, "is this the person that kidnapped Akane?"
"Hey, I've apologized for that already," Ryo angrily replied. "So I
kidnapped the wrong girl! Big deal!"
"Why'd you kidnap her anyways?" Ryoga asked, his eyes narrowed.
"Well, it was intended to draw you out. Unfortunately, my information
was flawed and I got a fistfull of angry fiancee."
Mousse sat there, puzzled. Ryoga sat there glaring at Ryo. Ryo sat there
looking rather sheepish and turned his paper to the sports section.
"Why are you trying to kill me anyways?"
"Ah, that would be telling. I'm not allowed to say anyways. Part of
an assignment, you might say." Ryo read through the basketball section.
{Hakeem Olajuwon injured? Tsk tsk tsk. Barkley is back? Cool.}
"If you wanted a fight, why didn't you just ask? What's with the ambush and
the kidnapping?"
"Eh? What's the fun in that? Don't you think a fight is more fulfilling
when it comes as surprise or there's something at stake?"
"No, it isn't."
Ryo picked up his cup and took a sip. "Ah. Espresso, with Irish creme.
Anyways, you're no fun. You never were."
"And you're a mean-spirited bastard."
"That's the way it is. By the way, that's one impressive ki-blast. You
didn't know that trick before."
"I'm not telling you how to do it."
"Heh. I don't need it."
"Hey, where'd you learn the bakusai-ten-ketsu? I know that move myself."
"Sure, right. Of course you do." If Ryoga wasn't gonna share trade
secrets, Ryo felt he shouldn't either.
Ryoga picked up the saucer that came with Ryo's coffee cup and gave it a
slight poke. It turned into dust. "As I was saying..."
"Oh. Okay.... Spied a bunch of Chinese Amazons for a couple of days. They
were smashing boulders left and right, man! Dazzling stuff, I tell ya. After
they left their training area, I used it and tried to imitate'em. Took me a
couple of days, poking my umbrellas into boulders, until I finally figured it
out."
The waitress came in with their drinks, contained in black coffee
mugs. Ryoga ignored it, Mousse examined his.
"So you weren't properly trained to use the bakusai-ten-ketsu."
"No.... I'll admit the debris that flies around is annoying, but after
a while in practice it stopped bothering me."
Ryoga was considering what this meant. Ryo had boosted toughness as well,
since the exploding debris no longer hurt him, BUT his training didn't involve
having boulders thrown at him, so Ryoga still had the better enduranace.
"Yeah, that technique is great for getaways, but for some reason it
didn't work when I tried to kill Happosai."
"So it is true. You did take on Happosai."
"Yeah. Tough little bastard. But I got'em! Dammit I got'em! Anyways,
there he was stunned at my feet, and I decided I wanted to scatter his brains
across the pavement. So I yell out 'BAKUSAITENKETSU!', jab the runt in the
head, and nothing happens! So I just blast his butt to kingdome come with a
ki-charged umbrella swing."
"It doesn't work on living things. In fact, it only works on rocks and
stuff like that."
"What? Damn, what a waste of my time. At least it makes for a nice
way to escape."
They sat there, Ryo very relaxed, Mousse just observing everything, and
Ryoga looking a bit too tense for the atmosphere.
"So you prefer an official challange? Okay... I officially challange
you at the last day of the month, in the evening, 7:00pm, at the bridge where
we first fought. Sound good?"
"Fine. But no more kidnapping, got it?"
"What? Hm. Fine."
"And no more ambushes."
"Bah, you stick in the mud. You have no sense of adventure." Ryo flipped
to the front section of the paper and noticed a strage headline. [RAMAPGING
PIG STRIKES AGAIN]
Ryoga picked up his mug and drank. He finished quickly and with a grin.
"Ryoga," Ryo asked, "you didn't order the most expensive drink, did you?"
"Well maybe I did," he answered, looking smug. "You did say you were going
to foot the bill."
"It's an alcoholic blend. Very intoxicating if you're not used to strong
stuff. You're suppposed to sip it slowly, not chug it down like it was beer.
Heeey, the results should be interesting."
Ryoga got up. "Ha! I feel just fine, thank you very much."
"Maybe you'd better sit down," Mousse asked.
"Nope. Gotta go train. See you later." Ryoga walked straight
for the door, very much sober, and strode out into the streets.
Mousse stayed behind. "Mr. Muhoshin..."
"Hey, call me Ryo. I'm feeling mellow today."
"Ryo, do you do contract work?"
"Eh?" Ryo's eyes narrowed.
"Well, seeing as how you've taken down Happosai, I'd be interested
in paying you to dispose of a certain someone."
"Mmm," he said (because he had a mouthfull of Espresso), *gulp* "sounds
interesting. This target challenging?"
"This person is definitely challenging..." Mousse was slowly becoming a
more desperate man. He had done everything right, so far. He had beaten
Shampoo and Ryoga, hadn't he? And yet the old ghoul still stood in the way
and Shampoo still did not show any positive emotion towards him at all.
If he had to deal with Ryoga's enemy in order to be rid fo Cologne, so be it.
Slowly but surely, Mousse was beginning to crack.
--------------
[Wednesday Night]
Ryo looked through his somewhat out-of-date information on the people
in this area. He flipped through them until he came to one in particular.
[Tatewaki Kuno. Age 18. Idiot.]
"Hm...."
--------------
*DING*DONG*
Sasuke opened the doors to the Kuno estate, revealing a person in a
suit and holding an umbrella. {Damn salesmen} he thought to himself.
"We don't want any" Sasuke said, slamming the door.
"HEY! OPEN UP DAMMIT!"
"Sasuke! Who dares make such noise at this late hour!" Kuno had awoken,
and he was very much irritated.
"I HAVE NEWS OF YOUR MUCH BELOVED PIG-TAILED GODESS!"
"Sasuke, open the door."
The door opened and Ryo quickly strode in, only to run into a bokken
aimed at his throat.
"This had better be good" Kuno said.
"I come as an enemy of dark sorcery everywhere, great Kuno," Ryo said,
smiling wickedly, "and I have come to tell you that you had best attack Hibiki
tonight! For I am told by good sources that the pig-tailed girl would be
with him through the night and into the morning, *ahem*."
"WHAT! THAT INFIDEL! But why does this concern you?"
"Ah, good sir. She is my cousin, and I seek to preserve our family's
honor. Would you not do the same in my place?"
"Hm... indeed."
"And knowing that you are _such_ a mighty warrior, I had sought out your
assistance in this matter. Are you not the great Tatewaki Kuno?"
"Indeed I am!"
"I implore you, go now to the resteraunt known as Ucchan's, for within
the attic of that place does Hibiki now as we speak plan to kidnap her
once more!"
"VERY WELL THEN! I AM OFF!" Kuno stomped away into the night.
{Heh. Sucker.} Ryo smiled. Yes, he would face Hibiki tomorrow morning,
and yes he did promise to take no more hostages, but he didn't say anything
about any other tricks.
Just then, a sinister laughing began.
"Oh-hohohohoho. Who do we have here? A friend of my brother's?"
Ryo turned around. Kodachi stood there in a nightgown, twirling her
ribbon.
"Hey there..." He said, grinning.
------------
Ryoga discovered something amazing about himself. When he was drunk,
his sense of direction cleared up sharply. The reason he didn't notice this
before when he was in his depressed drunk state was because he wasn't trying
to get anywhere in those days.
Tonight, he was heading back to Ucchan's. Ryoga stumbled down the
street, feeling very pleased with himself. Hey, the world was a cool place,
yes? Wow, he felt great! To his great surprise, he didn't feel a thing
when Kuno showed up and hit him multiple times with his stick. Kuno even
broke his bokken while hitting Ryoga, but still no pain. Ryoga grunted,
slugged Kuno into a brick wall and went on his way.
He stumbled through the doorway of Ucchan's and announced his presence.
"Hooooneeey, Ahm hooooome!"
The few customers within glanced at this rather drunk figure. Ukyo was
thoroughly embarrased. She quickly grabbed Ryoga's hand and dragged him
to the attic. "Dammit, Ryoga, you've been drinking again!" She looked over
the many cuts and bruises he sported."
"Have nooot! Just had o*hic*one drink!"
"Aarrgh. Look, just stay over here and sober up, okay? I've gotta
manage the resteraunt."
"O-key Dokey!" Ryoga said, grinning like a maniac.
----------
In a darkly lit room, deep in a sub-basement, an elevator opened. Three
figures, two of which were in white uniforms, stepped out. They walked over to
a corridor blocked by a gate. One man showed his ID badge to a camera nearby
and the gate opened.
The trio walked down the corridor. Large, very solid steel doors lined
the hallway. Behind each door one could hear the mumblings of madness and the
screaming of psychopaths.
The trio came to the end of the hall. They stood before an especially large
iron door, adorned with religious symbols and charms. To the left, a card
reader hung. One of the men in uniform slid his card through, and the door
opened. They entered the room and the door closed behind them.
The room was a fairly large square one, roughly 80 feet in every dimension.
The room was brightly lit, revealing alot of medical equipment, monitors,
wires, and cameras.
In the center of all this mess was a bed attached to many gears, wheels, and
wires. The occupant was wrapped up in hard casts covering his entire body and
most of his face. A bronze grill plate covered his mouth. His eyes were
left uncovered. Chains were wrapped around the figure, securing him to the
table. Ki-dampeners were also in place. The managers of this place had
apparently known who they were dealing with. They seemed to take every
precaution to make sure this man didn't ramapage.
"Vissssssitooorsss?" The figure hissed.
"Yeah," one of the uniformed men said, "and don't try anything funny."
The bed whirred as it was raised to a 45 degree angle. "Whooooooo?"
"Happosai, it's me, Ranma."
"Raaaaanmaaa, sssssooo niiiice tooo heeeaar frooom youuu."
"Oh, this is classic," Ranma said. He took out the camera he had borrowed
from Nabiki and took several photographs.
"Youuu liiitle iiiingraate."
"Listen, Happosai, I need to know-"
"Paaaaaantiiiiieeees."
"What?"
"Iiii caan smeelll theem. Muusst haavvve paaaaaaaaantiiiiiieeees."
"I need you to tell me what happened to you."
"Muuuuust haaaaave paaantieeees."
Ranma sighed. It seemed that Happosai's lechery came through no matter
how badly he was banged up.
"Answer my questions, and I'll bring you some, okay?"
Happosai's eyes narrowed. "Asssk."
"Did Ryo Muhoshin do this to you?"
Happosai's eyes flared slightly at the mention of that name. "Yesssss."
"He didn't just get a lucky hit in while you were stupidly distracted
by underwear, did he?"
"Noo." Happosai replied. Then, he stared intensely at Ranma. "Youu mussst
deeeefeeeaaat Muuhossshin.... deffend honnnor off Annythiing Goooessss...
musssst haaave paaaaaantiiieeeesss."
Ranma stood up, turned around, and walked towards the door, accompanied by
the two men in white medical outfits.
"Waaaaaiiiit! Wheere'ss myy PAAAANTIIIIEEEESS?"
"Sorry, old man. So I lied."
"RAANNMMAAAA!!!!!!" Happosai screamed. He flared with ki-power, and the
ki-dampeners struggled to neutralize this display of power. The chains
rattled and shook as he tried to escape from their grip. The trio quickly
left the room and entered the elevator.
"RRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!" Happosai roared,
struggling against his restraints. The yell was heard even in the elevator.
Then, having spent the last of his stored up energy on that failed attempt
to escape, Happosai passed out.
Ranma turned to one of the hospital staff and asked, "How badly injured was
he when he got here?"
"Oh, he had plenty of injuries. His ribcage was shattered, his backbone
was a mess, he had two bruises on his head, and he had electrical burns too.
"Can I have a copy of the medical report?"
"Just ask the front desk."
--------
Ukyo got her medical kit and returned to the attic to check on Ryoga.
Unfortunately, Ryoga was in that stage of post-drunkeness where
he was once again depressed. He was lying on the floor looking miserable.
"Why coooouldn't I tell her, huh? I *hic* jus din't have da guts *hic*
thaz what!" He sat there on the floor, looking glum.
Ukyo kneeled before Ryoga. "How'd you get these cuts and bruises, Ryoga?"
"Ku- *hic* Kuno showed up. Hit me lots an lots an lotsa times. Funny,
though, ah din't feel ah thing."
"Oh Ryoga, why'd you have to get drunk? You idiot."
"Iuh... I know, Ryooooga da wimp. Right. If ah haaad any guh... guh..
guts, Ida gone riiight up to Akane, yessir."
"Come on, Ryoga, stop torturing yourself." She held an alcoholic rub
and started cleaning up his cuts, beginning with the cuts on his face. She
waited for the customary yelp of pain that happens whenever someone's cuts get
treated with alcohol but to her surprise he didn't flinch.
"Ida gone up to her... an done this." He said, suddenly sitting upright and
grabbing, Ukyo by the shoulders.
"Ryoga! What are you doing!"
"Ida tol'her 'Akane, lissen up. I luv you!' and then ida kisseder!"
"Hey!" Ukyo yelled. She was taken entirely by surprised when Ryoga
zoomed up to her face and gave her a full-blown kiss on the lips.
"Yezzir, jus like that. Tha's wha I shoulda done." Ryoga said, as he let
her go.
"Ryoga... you... you..."
A multitude of emotions crossed Ukyo's face. First shock, then sadness,
followed by anger, and topped off by violent fury.
"You JERK!" She yelled, hammering him with the hundred hand slap. Then
she reared back, took aim, and yelled "MEGATON PUNCH!!!" finishing him off
with a mean right uppercut. Ryoga passed out immediately.
Fuming mad, Ukyo stomped back down to the resteraunt.
--------------
Ryo limped down the street, using his umbrella as a walking stick.
He was scratched up, bruised, whipped, and generally not feeling well.
That Kodachi girl turned out to be quite the violent type. He'd never have
imagined that he could become so injured just asking for a date.
Oh, the ordinary guy would have avoided her by now. But Ryo just couldn't
resist. {Those lips, those eyes, and oh so shapely. All this and full
gymnastic abilities (AHEM) too!} he thought.
"Whatta girl!" he yelled, and tossed his umbrella up into the air.
Good thing the match was a couple of days from now. He needed the
extra time to recover.
