I like the vignettes.

I do not think you are writing Shampoo as stupid.  I think you are writing her
as she is.  Someone who doesn't speak much Japanese, who is from a warrior
culture and who is very direct in trying to get what she wants.

Dr Yaun appears to be like Frank Burns in M*A*S*H only a much more competent
surgeon (try this spelling it might be closer, I to am dependent on spell
checkers).  Maybe you can introduce a "Hawkeye" clone.
