                                                         Akane's Revenge

                                       Japan | Tokyo | Furinkan High | 3:05 P.M.

                                                                   1

School had just let out at Furinkan. Ranma was taking great care
to avoid Akane; they'd gotten into another big fight on the way to school.
At lunch, he refused to eat the meal that she'd specially prepared for
him, claiming " I'd like to live long enoug h to see dinner." That made
her mad enough to punch him through the cafeteria wall.

When school ended, Ranma darted out of class before Akane could
even ask where he's going. Now outside the schoolyard, it was smooth
sailing; at *least* till the next time he saw Akane. Deciding to take a
shortcut home through an alley Ranma turned to see a startled Ryoga
walking towards him. "How did you get all the way out here?", the now
confused Ryoga asked. "What are you doing here *P-Chan*?" Ranma said
sarkasticly. "Huh, what, how dare you call me that," shouted the visible
angry Ryoga. Ranma just smiled, he'd gotten the desired effect.

"Ranma," Ryoga shouted as he lifted a trash can above his head. "I
cannot allow you to marry Akane," Ryoga said as he let lose with his
improvised weapon. Ranma easily dodged the deadly can. "That was really
sad, even for you," Ranma joked. Ryoga was now a mixture of surprised and
outraged at what the still living Ranma had just said.

"That's it," fumed the red faced Ryoga. "Prepare to die," he roared
as he leapt into the air. Ranma took a defensive stance, ready for the
outstretched foot of his opponent.

Akane was walking home the usual way. When Ranma left so suddenly,
she decided not to stop him, instead, she chose to walk home alone. As she
left the schoolyard, she was assaulted by the love struck Kuno. "Take
these as a token of my love," blurted the hopeless romantic. She accepted
them with *hope* that Kuno would go away. Unfortuneitley for Akane, Kuno
was planing on being *very* persistent.

"Would you date with me?", the now hopeful Kuno asked as he got
down on one knee. Oh not again thought Akane. "Kuno, I gotta go," Akane
said as she ran off. "Ahh, Akane you will be my . . . . . " BANG!!! Kuno
never saw the lilac haired girl on her bicycl e coming. "Silly Kuno, why
you not get out of Shampoo's way?", and with that said she rode off to
finish her deliveries. Kuno laid there face down with hands that had the
pinky and pointer fingers pointed up, and thumbs out to the side. A tire
track could be seen on the back of the fallen upperclassman.

Ranma blocked the foot of his outraged opponent. Ryoga bounced off
Ranma's arms, did a back flip in midair, and landed ten feet away. Pulling
out his metal umbrella, Ryoga charged again. Holding his umbrella high
above his head, Ryoga swung down at Ranma . Ranma jumped back just in time
to avoid the umbrella which created a sizeable creator where he'd bin
standing. Woah, he's really juiced, maby I shouldn't have made fun of him
like that thought the now surprised antagonisor. As he landed, he decided
to m ake his first attack. Ranma ran towards the now charging Ryoga. As he
ducked under the umbrella, he launched his fist at the face of his rival.
Ryoga dodged left and readied his next attack, as did Ranma. They fought
this way, in the cramped confines of t he alleyway for several minutes.
Attack, block, block, attack; each scored hits, but they did little
damage.

As they fought Ryoga managed to get Ranma off balance. He did this
by using an attack that's designed to have your opponent block high, in
such a way, that it would leave their chest open. It worked, thought the
now happy Ryoga. "Ranma, now you die," sho uted Ryoga as he punt-kicked
Ranma chest. The kick launched Ranma into the air, out of the alley, and
crashing into the street. Ranma sprung up, dusted himself off, looked in
the direction of the alley and said "this fight isn't over yet." With that
said, he ran back in the direction of the alley.

After Akane lost Kuno, she continued her walk. She wondered why
Ranma always made fun of her. She tried so hard to cook for him. Did he
like her cooking, no? Did he even pretend to like her cooking, no? He had
made that apparently clear.

Akane continued to walk, still lost in thought. Hey, I learned how
to boil water without starting a fire. In a week or to I should be able to
cook rice without putting anyone in the hospital. Ranma you fool, you
jerk, you . . . . . . Akane suddenly lost her train of thought when she
saw someone a lot like Ranma come flying out of an alley and go crashing
into the street.

                                                                   2

Akane held her hand in front of her eyes to block out the sun.
"This fight isn't over yet," the shadow yelled. By the tone of the
shadows' voice Akane now knew it was Ranma. "Ranma, what are you doing?",
Akane yelled.

Ranma was one step from the alley when he herd Akane's yell.
"Akane, what are you here to do, hit me again?", Ranma jokingly asked.
Akane now realized that he was making fun of her *again*. She grasped her
school bag tightly, and readied it for flight.

Inside the alley Ryoga was inscenced that after insulting him
once, Ranma would *dare* ignore him now; in the middle of a fight no less.
"Ranma, how dare you ignore me," Ryoga roared. A yellow aura began to form
around Ryoga.

Akane let loose with her missile. Ranma leaped into the alley,
being careful to avoid the bag. The bag struck the wall directly behind
where Ranma was just standing. A large chunk of wall crumbled onto the
street after the bag struck it.

Unfortunatley for Ranma, he landed right in front of the now
glowing Ryoga. "Rrrrrrrrr," he angrily growled as he lifted Ranma off the
ground by the collar of his shirt. "Ryoga, your still here?", Ranma
questioned, and with that, Ryoga snapped.

Channeling all his energy into one *final* strike, Ryoga
uppercutted Ranma's chest. Ryoga was normally really strong, strong enough
to lift telephone poles out of the ground. When being aided by his aura he
becomes even stronger. Ryoga was mad enough to use an attack that drained
all of ones battle aura and channeled it into one last ditch attack. If
this attack failed, Ryoga would be helpless to do anything but run away.
If it were to hit, Ranma would be in big trouble.

Ranma saw the punch coming and he set up to block it, not aware of
what was about to strike him. When Ryoga's fist met with Ranma's block,
the force of the punch was far too powerful for even Ranma to stop. Then
Ryoga's fist met with Ranma's chest. A sho ck wave could be seen ripple
through Ranma's body.

                                                                     3

After tossing her bag at the *idiot* she had to call her fiance,
Akane stood on the sidewalk breathing heavily, allowing the stress to
escape her body. Again she thought about having to marry Ranma. If they
did marry, would he still make fun of me, or ca ll me names, and would he
eat my cooking? She began to walk toward the alley where her school bag
had landed when she herd a loud *BANG*, followed by a weird groaning sound
that was emanating from the alley.

Ryoga dropped Ranma, too tired to hold him any longer. Ranma fell
to the floor, not moving. Ryoga looked at his downed opponent wondering if
he had killed him. Ryoga nudged Ranma with his foot, he didn't move.
"Ranma get up," muttered Ryoga. Ryoga then n oticed a small pool of blood
was beginning to form on the ground below Ranma's head. I, I, I beat him,
Ryoga joyfully thought. "I beat him, I beat Ranma," Ryoga said aloud.

After hearing the weird groan, Akane began to worry. She felt a
solitary drop of blood escape her nose. Ignoring the blood, Akane ran
towards the alley into which Ranma ducked. When she turned the corner,
Akane saw what she had been *dreading*. Before A kane lay Ranma's pale
and twisted body. Ranma was laying face down, arms and legs laying in odd
positions. Akane began to cry. She could see no obvious injuries, but
Ranma looked bad, *real* bad.

Akane knelt down besides Ranma, seeing no physical injuries, she
rolled Ranma over to find a pool of blood under the rite side of Ranma's
face. She set his head on her lap. She could now see the blood running
from Ranma's mouth and nose. Now with his he ad in her lap she began to
cry.

	" A . . . kan . . . . e ," Ranma weekly uttered. " You're alive,"
Akane happily replied. " " Why did *cough* you distract *cough, cough* me?
", retorted Ranma. " Distract you? " Akane angrily snapped. " I would
*cough* have won *cough* if you didn't . . . . . . . ," with that Ranma
left the world of the conscious.

	" Ranma, please don't die," pleaded Akane. " Don't die, don't die, I
love you to much for you to die," Akane yelled. Now screaming at the top
of her lungs, "No Ranma, please don't die, I love you, don't die" While
Akane was making her pleas Ranma was get ting more and more pale. His body
began to grow cold, and his breathing slowed, then stoped. Ranma was
dying, and there was nothing Akane could do.

                                                                4

The wind was not particularly strong that day, but Akane's plea
seemed to carry to every part of town. Soun & Genma were playing their
afternoon game of GO when they heard Akane's plea. Before the GO peice
Genma was holding could hit the game table, Soun and Genma were already
outside the dojo gates heading in the direction of Akane's cry. Kasumi
dropped the plate she was holding when she heard Akane's cry; she began to
cry aloud. Nabiki was in her room working in her log book when she heard
the Akane's scream; she broke her pencil and sobbed quietly.

Shampoo had just returned to the resturant after finishing a
delivery, she put up her bike and walked twords the door. She was
depressed to see Mousse waiting for her at the doorway. " Back so soon
Shampoo?," Mousse asked. " What Mousse want with Shampoo now?," Shampoo
angrily snapped. " Will you go on a date with me tonight Shampoo?," Mousse
politely asked. " Shampoo no go on date with silly Mousse, Shampoo have
date with Ranma tonight," she joyously replied. Just then they heard
Akane's screams. " Ranm a dead?," Shampoo asked. " Ranma no dead, how
Ranma die, who kill Ranma?," Shampoo managed to get out before she burst
into tears and ran inside to seek help from Cologne. Mousse was still
standing outside, he looked towards the sky and yelled, " Ranma w as to be
mine!" Mousse began to glow," I will find the one who has killed Ranma,
then they will be mine." He finished his speech and ran off in the
direction of Akane's cry, he never saw the wall.

To weak to leave, Ryoga lay atop one of the buildings that formed
the alley. peeking his head over the ledge to see what was going on down
below, he saw Akane crying with Ranma's head in her lap. Ryoga was not so
happy anymore.

Ryoga, now gaining some of his strength back, began to ponder what
had taken place. Should I have killed him, Ryoga wondered. I love Akane,
but can she love me if knew what I've done? Can she love me knowing I
killed Ranma? What should I do? What should I do? What should I do?

These questions tore through Ryoga's mind, his head felt as if it
was on fire. He reached up and pressed hard against his skull. Ryoga began
to painfully grimace, fangs in full view. I, I must find answers, thought
Ryoga. Suddenley his hands droped to hi s sides, his grimace becoming a
frown. " I know what I must do," he said to himself. Ryoga knelt down to
slip on his backpack, stood up, jogged across the rooftop, jumped onto the
street, and headed off into the sunset.

                                                              5
